Last Minute Accommodation, but a lovely experience

Really good customer care from the hotel staff. Check in was quick, room was clean and tidy. Didn't have breakfast, therefore can't comment. Overall a pain free and lovely hotel to stay st.

Average Hotel

Average hotel, furniture in rooms and bar areas looking very tired, grubby. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on, I was left with a very sore back and shoulder after 2 nights at this hotel. On the plus side the restaurant food was of a high standard and the breakfasts were good. Unable to get a booking for a spa treatment so I can't rate the spa.

Nice hotel on outskirts of Nottingham

Pros: Nice grounds kept well. Facilities good
Cons: Although facilities are good hotel is over priced compared to other hotels with similar facilities.
Location: Went for a quiet break, did not explore location.
My husband and I was celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted a quiet break. I had stayed at the hotel prior so decided to go there. Stayed four nights. Good choice for breakfast and bacon cooked well.

Reception Manager disappointed me

Pros: The hotel layout including that of the room was good. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The manager needs to be trained better to deal with custom situations like mine. If 50 people arrive, he cannot expect a single person to wait behind!
I had to check-in to attend a wedding for a 10:30 am start. A group of about a dozen ladies arrived just 15 secs before me at the reception.The manager was at reception with two other staff and got them busy with the group. I waited few minutes, but tried to approach the manager to express my urgency (as I had to get ready). Even if the room was not available, I was keen to find some place to get changed. The manager was just standing next to his staff and did not even bother to hear what I had to say, just snapped ''let us finish with the guest here''. I was the only one by myself at the time; one of the staff could have sorted me and then continued with the big group. But instead, they kept me waiting. In the meantime another couple arrived, who also waited. After the whole group was sorted, one of the reception ladies was not even observant and called the couple first. I must have waited for 20 mins, which was not a problem if I didn't have to go to the wedding. The manager continued to be discourteous. I mentioned him my urgency, but he insisted that the big group had arrived first, so he got all the staff engaged to get through them as the group had to get on with their spa booking! He further said that ''we don't provide early check-ins'', even though I had already requested and been told that the hotel would try their best. They gave me the room straight away though, which was good. But, I was extremely disappointed by the behaviour and bookish thinking of the manager.

bad experience with telephone service, staff won't pickup the incoming calls and transfer to the rooms. i missed very important phone calls.

Belfry stay

Reasonable conference hotel with great staff.

Stayed for a weekend break, did not realise the hotel in a business park with little of interest nearby though well located for the M1. The spa is onsite and was fully booked for treatments but gym and pool were clean and well kept with friendly staff. Reception and restaurant staff again lovely, welcoming and friendly but overall let down by generally cheap feeling in what purports to be a four star hotel. Breakfast coffee served in individual pots but made with instant granules, cheap mattress that you could feel the springs through and which magnified every slight movement tenfold, much to my fiancées irritation! Cannot fault the staff at all and the room was clean and well presented but feel the company overall are trying to cut corners without cutting price.

Most satisfactory stay.

I stayed one night on business, arriving late, and not eating dinner at the hotel. So can only rate the room and breakfast. Both were great, my only niggles was the low shower pressure and soft bed. Working into the evening I found that the Wifi speed in my bedroom was excellent.
