We had a great time at Samba Vallarta. We went with other families so our kids had friends to play with. The kids club staff were very friendly but there weren't a ton of planned activities. The food was fresh but we had to beg for guacamole, which I don't like to do at a Mexican all-inclusive! The drinks were very good. The pool and rooms were clean. When my son was stung by a jellyfish, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

The problem with paradise village is they put you in a terrible room no windows balconies etx for the first two nights then you spend a morning trying to get moved to a room that's not a dungeon this has happened to me two years 3 years in a row so I would only recomend to people that are able to stand up to the system I've been going over 10 years and unless they think your a potential time share buyer you got to work for your room
Once your settled though it's delightful

After finally finding the Sea Garden hotel. (Aka Ocean Breeze) we were able to check in at 4pm. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The local resort food was great. The trek down the beach to the sister resort/timeshares at Vidanta was well worth it. Beautifully done resort with excellent restaurants and services.
The only complaint I have was the room we had, had an extremely harsh smell of lemon chemical cleaner.
I would definitely go back to this resort as there is access to a lot of great activities and amenities.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Boutique. This place is on the opposite side of the Paradise Village marina and is more complimentary to an authentic "Mexican" experience. There are several wonderful restaurants nearby including a brand new Italian one right in the hotel. If you want to visit the "gringo" side for Starbucks etc, you can take an easy water taxi (before 5pm) across to the other marina. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating and speak English. A close walk to the taxi and bus stands to get you into town. I would have liked to have seen a strongbox in the room for valuables though and I think they're working on getting them. All in all, we had a perfect experience.
