Fair, but not worth the $$$

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Great location and great staff. Older building, nice kitchen area for longer stays, AC kind of loud, bathroom needs love. Shower drain was clogged. Jeremy is a great manager and very friendly, Jeremy is going places and should be promoted.

Hotel is fine but not nice. Has potential.

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel has potential but is not super clean. Sticky, oily kitchen cupboards in room, patios with no furniture to enjoy them with, sliding door so hard to open and close. With some nice touches like a couple packets of coffee for guests in their room, a good clean and some attention to detail this hotel would be nice. If you're staying for a night or 2 and it's cheap, do it. If not there are much nicer hotels of similar price in Honolulu.

Staff is great. Our rooms had not seen an upgrade in decades. Spacious.

Hotel with a Kitchen

Posted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: The location is near a location where you can catch buses to different locations.
Location: Lots of restaurants and walking distance to Ala Moana Centre, Walmart, Golf Course, Diamond Head
Check in was prompt and helpful. Nice to have 3 elevators but sometimes very busy especially during check-in & Check-out. The room was spacious and with a full kitchen complete with pots & pans, utensils, cups, bowls, plates. The bathroom was spacious but needs more shelves by the sink for the incidentals. The shower stall was regular standard size. The closet with mirror sliding doors and the safe in the closet with the ironing board and iron. Had to get the mirror doors on the track but 1 door kept running off the track - so left that one at the end of its travel without using it. 2 smaller queen size beds with a 4 dresser drawer and bed side dresser between the beds. 40" LED TV with plenty of tv channels, but no info what the channels in the room. The entry door to the room are well built with some solid feel, but the door latch mechanism that closes on the striker plate makes a load noise when shutting the door. I used a soap bar and coated the striker plate and the latch mechanism and what a difference for closing with a respectable sound. Told the front desk that they should have the room maids just rub some soap and then you can get some decent sleep in the wee hours of the night & early mornings.

Nice Hotel at a convenient location.

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: Convenient location, good service and helpful and friendly staff
Cons: More open shelves in the bath room. Sliding balcony doors and closet doors need work to make them open and close a little smoother. Lower resort fee.
Location: Conveniently located between Ala Moana Center and Waikiki Beach, close to Ala Wei Canal, great for walking/jogging. Lots of shops, restaurants close by
Convenient location between Waikiki Beach and Ala Moana Mall.City Bus stops right at Hotel.Room was basic but kept very clean. Staff bent over backwards promptly to give us what we asked for such as coffee maker with filters, extra hangars, extra towels etc. Our room came with stove, microwave, toasters, utensils which came in handy. Staff is very friendly and very accommodating.Did not like the $20/day resort fee but gives you swimming pool, gym, computer room, free self serve filtered water and kids game room Overall we were satisfied, good value for your money.

My stay

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: Most everything. The gym was the best thing I liked.
Cons: Get the little bugs out of the room and the room I stayed in the shower drain was very very slow. The water just about ran over the edge.
Location: Perfect location.
Had a very good experience. The Embassador has a great location, very friendly and accommodating staff. The parking is also very handy and I could come and go as needed. Good internet service and most of all a nice gym.

Tired Hotel, close enough to everything

Posted Feb 28, 2017
Cons: We thought there should be towels available by the pool. We had to go back up to the room to grab the only two towels that we were provided with.
Upon arrival, the king room with kitchenette we booked was not available. We were given a room with single beds for the first night, and queen room with kitchenette the remaining nights. The hotel fee was waived, which was appreciated, however we still did not get the room we expected. The first room - the water did not drain in the shower very quickly, so you stand in a deep puddle, which is kind of disgusting. The second room did not have a problem with the shower at all. When we requested a coffee maker, it was provided right away. Some of the stove elements were not working. And it would be a nice addition if the hotel provided salt and pepper in the kitchenette, just for some simple seasoning. The front staff was pleasant to deal with, as were the cleaning ladies, but we found they showed up at the room very early for housekeeping. We considered this hotel "tired" but clean. Across the street, the Holiday Inn was amidst renovations, so the sound of jackhammering was constant. We were disappointed with the balcony - it is a solid wall structure, so when you sit outside, you can't actually see anything. It was an easy walk to beach and restaurants, so location was fine. Just expect a lot of noise as you are in the midst of city. The sliding doors did little to dampen the sounds of traffic / yelling / garbage collection early every morning

Affordable hotel

Posted Feb 28, 2017
The hotel was clean and spacious. Pillows were comfortable and so was the bed. It was an older hotel and therefore not modern looking. Otherwise no complaints.
