Our room was spacious, clean and had a nice ocean view with a balcony. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The area is very noisy, even on high floors, and the pool is for children but has no outdoor bar for adults.

Staff were the best! From front desk to housekeeping and dining, everyone is doing great work. If I had to choose a weakness it would be the pool. Small and just not appealable. But the ocean is what we all came for anyway.

I was disappointed this year. Last year we stayed here it was great. Not this year. The hotel had a large group of High school kids. Which I was ok with. Then being in our room the second night. The kids yelled all night. Waking my 2 year old up. The would be screaming across the balconies to other hotels. One father told Them to stop screamyay his daughter. It was not ok and I wonder who was supervising them. Moving forward we get back to the hotel from the beach. My 3 sons husband and myself with a heart problem history had to walk up 19 floors because the elevator was not working! My husband had to vary our 2 year old. We get into our room to finally rinse off from the beach. Put water is off. Each time we had to use the elevator it took us at least 10 min of wait for it just to get in. This spring break vacation was not so good as last year here. I’m pretty bummed.

For the most part we enjoyed our stay. A few things were inconvenient. A couple times power went out, we had to walk up 12 flights of stairs. The elevator waits were crazy, sometimes 25 minutes. Our flight on the last day got delayed and we asked if we could stay in our room for a couple hours and they said no. The Domino’s attached was awful. Probably would not return to this hotel.

Had a great stay with my family of five. Just a block away from Waikiki Beach and shopping. Lots of dining choices around the area. It gets really busy around town especially in the evenings. Only downside would be no self-parking which forces you to use their valet service.

Stayed 10 nights and overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. Pros: property is clean, staff is friendly, rooms are clean and very spacious, daily breakfast is included, easy walk to the beach and Waikiki shops/restaurants, beach chairs/boogie boards on loan for guests. Cons: elevator wait times can be ridiculously long, small/modest pool (not why we stayed here), and there's only valet parking offered at $50/day (we parked at Waikiki Banyan across the street for $175/week).

The pool, gym, and laundry room did not meet hotel standards. I was quite disappointed with their quality. On a positive note, the room was clean and spacious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, based on my experience, I do not plan to return to this establishment.

Breakfast was just average, no fresh fruit and difficult to avoid sugar and fried unhealthy options. I stuck to granola and vanilla yogurt, too bad plain Greek yogurt wasn’t available. Elevator wait times can be up to 15 minutes at peak morning breakfast and checkout times. Noisy metal ramp at parking lot across the street that can be heard from the 20th floor balcony every time a vehicle enters the parking lot. Ocean view was specified in my booking, not entirely true. Yes, ocean view from window not the balcony which was partial ocean. I think diamond head view is a better option and less cost!

Second time staying at this hotel (previous stay was 6 years ago). Enjoyed the location (1-2 blocks from the beach), daily breakfast, amenities (eg beach towels, beach chairs - 2 per room max), and overall cleanliness. Compared to our last stay, we encountered a few more issues - we were given a complimentary room upgrade, but the room had some issues: the sofa bed mattress was too soft/lumpy (fortunately staff were able to get us a second mattress to lay on top that made this a lot more comfortable after night 3); the lighting in the room flickered if you set something down too hard on the nightstand; and the balcony sliding door jiggled at night from the wind (though it has a second latch), and one of the drawers kept sliding open. I also had some trouble locating instructions for how to connect the room tv to a steaming service, and then took some troubleshooting when they didn’t quite work (fortunately a staff member was able to help with this after a couple of calls down to the lobby). The tower we stayed in also had very slow elevators (I’ve seen others comment that said it could be 10-20mins during peak hours, and this was not an exaggeration). The hotel pool is small and didn’t seem to be in use often, unlike surrounding hotels. In terms of the immediate vicinity, homelessness is definitely apparent, and we saw (and smelled) some unpleasant things during the short walk to/from the hotel. The lei making class has limited spots, so reserve early if you’re interested!

Property staff was unhelpful. Asked several times about amenities offered for birthday celebration and couldn’t get an answer before the trip or even during. Once checked in concierge didn’t even have anyone bring us up to the room let alone tell us what floor it was on. Once in the room I noticed how dirty it was. Patio glass door was unclean, broken drawer and substances on different parts of the room wall. Not to mention the carpet was stained in multiple areas. We had the highest upgrade with a single king bed with a view of the ocean and all we actually had was a view of inside apartment buildings along with their roof that was dirty(no fault of the Hyatt) and met with loud noise of the 3 rooms next door slamming their doors shut all night. When confronted with a possible room change, the staff was dismissive and not accommodating. Wasn’t even offered a late check out option so we may book another hotel the same day, instead was met with they would charge us an additional day for an uncomfortable stay. Do not book here. I promise you they are better hotels along this strip.

The overall property was everything you could ask for from first time visitors to the island. The valet supervisor Maynard was the best staff member we interacted with. He took his time to give insights and pass along local area spots to visit. He ensured we well well taken care of by his staff. He odds the gem of the property.

The stay was very comfortable and room was clean. Everything was going well until we checked out. We were told that there would be a “destination fee” of $200 USD (which is almost $300 CAD) that we were not previously informed about. When we asked what the fee was for, the person behind the counter was very short with us and would not answer the question. She just repeatedly stated “It’s for the destination fee”. We ended up being charged and despite asking for an emailed receipt of the payement, we have not even received it yet. Absolutely ridiculous expense that we were not expecting/ no one informed us of until it was too late. Wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re willing to throw another $300 into the vacation upon checking out.

The staff work hard. We are a large family and had different needs that the staff helped us with quickly and patiently. For example we have someone with a down feather allergy so needed different pillows. We got requests fulfilled right away. The junior suite we had was nice. It was clean and had a balcony. The AC worked well. My critique would be that the beds and sofa bed were very soft. The sofa bed was sagging, but our small child who slept on it did not mind. I do wish our bathroom had a fan. The steam from our showers didn’t have anywhere to go except into the room. Breakfast had a nice variety. The western breakfast foods changed a little each day. For example, one day it was bacon and waffles and another day it was Portuguese sausages and pancakes. There was always scrambled eggs, fresh fruit (cantaloupe, honey dew, and pineapple), bagels, yogurt, quick breads (like banana bread), cereal, and juice. Be careful if you have a nut allergy. The ingredients aren’t posted. So for example, the quick breads sometimes had nuts. I liked the Asian options which didn’t change. Everyday there was tsukemono (pickles), tofu, kimchee, miso soup, rice, and hard boiled eggs.
