The hotel staff was conscientious in making guest feel welcomed. The room was spacious and clean. We had a partial view of the beach/ocean which was nice. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there is a farmer's market that sells local pastries, fruits, etc.

Good location dated rooms

Very convenient location. But room hasn't been updated for a while. Rude front desk staff. Too bad. This used to be my favorite hotel in Waikiki.

Aloha, Thank you for selecting our property for your visit and for taking the time to share your feedback. I am pleased that you liked the convenience of our location. I am very sorry that you received a poor welcome at the front desk and that you found the room to be inadequate. The latter were renovated in 2015/2016 and included the addition of several enhancements while keeping a clean and modern design. I am sorry that you were not impressed by them and I will be sure to share your comments with our managers, especially the Front Desk supervisor. I hope that you will reconsider visiting us again in the future. Mahalo, Laura

The hotel put us in room next to elevator and we didn't find out until night that the elevator equipment shook and banged in our room every time it was used. Also the sliding glass door rattled sometimes with wind. They offered to see if they could put us in other room, but as we were there for only 2 nights, we didn't want to pack up and move. They did give us the amenities credit for inconvenience.

Close to and shopping

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Everything about the s hotel is great. Very friendly staff. True Aloha feeling. The leis on arrival was a wonderful greeting.
Cons: The parking garage is actually dangerous. Too many spaces for valet and not enough for self parking. Valets should use the higher floors.
Wonderful trip. Will be back., parking garage could be better. Valet should use higher floors and save the lower spaces for self parking.

Aloha Teresa, I am pleased to read that you had such a great experience during your recent stay with us. Thank you for taking the time to review your visit and for sharing how welcoming our colleagues made you feel as soon as you arrived. I am sorry about the difficulties you had with the self-parking. It is a narrow lot and I understand the concerns you had going to the higher floors. I believe the lower floors are reserved for valet so that they can easily climb stairs if there is a delay with the elevators. I will be certain to share your suggestions about parking layouts with our managers. We look forward to serving you again in the future. Mahalo, Laura

I liked that it was close the beach

Posted Jun 16, 2017
Pros: the comfort of the rooms, except for that the refrigerator was to small
Cons: larger refrigerator and it would have been nice to have a microwave
Location: great location near beach liked that, near restaurants and night life, and shows
We had a great time, like that the staff was there to help when ever we needed it

Highly recommended

Pros: Very clean, excellent location, helpful staff.
Cons: If it can provide shuttle bus / trolley to major locations, like some other hotels.
Location: Waikiki beach, shopping district, 15 min walk to the zoo, bus stop close by so you can take public transport to further locations
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Room is very clean, especially the bathroom. Housekeeping is always done very well at an efficient time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is excellent since it is right across from Waikiki beach. There is a farmers' market at the hotel lobby every Tues and Thurs so you don't even have to look very hard to find local fruit, art and jewelry.

worst hotel ever!!!

Posted May 25, 2017
Pros: LOCATION WAS NOT BAD.
Cons: EVERYTHING NEEDS IMPROVEMENT, START WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW ABOUT DONT LIE TO PAYING CUSTOMERS!
I STAYED HERE FROM MAY/18-23RD/2017. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST 4 STAR HOTELS IVE EVER STAYED IN. THE A/C IN MY ROOM WAS NOT WORKING WHEN I CHECKED IN , WHEN I COMPLAINED THE TECH TRIED TO FIX IT BUT COULD NOT. THEY DID NOT MOVE ME TO ANOTHER ROOM DESPITE MY REQUEST TO CHANGE THE ROOM AND THE FACT IT WAS 90 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND MY A/C DID NOT WORK. AFTER 3 NIGHTS OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SLEEP BECAUSE OF THE HEAT, I DECIDED TO CHECKOUT AND MOVE TO ANOTHER HOTEL. THEY RUINED MY VACATION. TO TOP IT ALL WHEN EXPEDIA ASKED THE HOTEL FOR MY REFUND FOR THE 2 UNUSED NIGHTS THEY DENIED THE REFUND EVEN THOUGH WHEN I CHECKED OUT THE FRONT DESK PERSON MR. JD CONFIRMED THAT I WOULD GET MY REFUND. BASICALLY THEY LIED TO MY FACE!!! THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OF THE WORST 4 STAR HOTEL IVE STATED IN. IT IS MORE LIKE A 2 STAR! THE HOTEL ROOMS ARE TERRIBLE, THE ESCALATORS ARE MOSTLY BROKEN AND UNDER REPAIRS, ELEVATORS ARE TOO OLD THEY SHAKE AND RUMBLE, BAD SMELL, OVERALL THE PROPERTY IS POORLY MAINTAINED. I DONOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO RUIN YOUR VACATION AND TREATED LIKE CRAP!!!!!
