Beautiful and comfortable place to relaxPosted Nov 26, 2015
Pros: Location, amenities
Cons: More swimming pools
Location: I think it is the best location to stay in Honolulu as it has everything in it and at the same time it is close enough to city centre
Had a wonderful time in this hotel and will get back there for sure

More than expectedPosted Nov 25, 2015
Pros: Surprisingly good
Cons: No parking fee for self parking. Option to decline resort fee if amenities aren't used
Location: Very centrally located in wikiki area for beach, shopping mall, restaurants. Nice for walking around the property & inside
My experience & hence the impression about Hilton chain of hotels hadn't been great so far. This one was a pleasant surprise. We booked a "resort view" room, but fortunately it had a partial ocean view as well. Room size was good, amenities inside the room was more than decent. Although the hotel looked old (carpet, elevator etc.) the surroundings of the hotel (beach access, lagoon, shopping areas, restaurants etc.) is really good. Loved the free dvd rental option (part of resort fee), hated the self parking fee of $29/day (I guess all hotels/resorts in the area charges similar).

Postcard View PropertyPosted Nov 25, 2015
I had a wonderful time. It was expensive but it is Hawaii. The hotel is on the beach and everything you need is close by. My only complaint was the outdated furniture in my room (Kalia). It was cloudy and rainy the whole time. However, I still enjoyed every minute. It was definitely worth it to me! I would love to go again!

Very nice.Close to everythingPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: The location. Lots to do.
Cons: Have umbrellas in the rooms for guest to use on rainy days. Also a microwave in the room would be helpful.
Location: Great location. Close to downtown shopping and many attractions. Nice fireworks on Fridays.
Great experience. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Resort stores and restaurants were a bit expensive.

Never AgainPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: the ocean view
Cons: More reasonable prices.
We stayed at this hotel for 5 days and were anxious to leave on the second day. The property is huge, 30+ acres and 5 towers. they charge for every little thing and all is outrageously over priced. On our last day after realizing we are being charged thirty-six dollars a day to have a rental car parked in valet, I moved it to self park for twenty-nine a day, paid for at time of checkout. when we tried to exit the parking garage, the machine wanted payment again, so we had to park and find an attendant and prove that we had already paid the self park fee. The Hilton grand vacation sales presentation that we decided to attend left us feeling beat up and it was a miserable experience. We will never go to another Hilton property nor shall we ever attend another sales pitch. If we want property or time shares we will search it out by ourselves. We are now staying at a Marriotts and are more than satisfied.

To be called a Hilton, this hotel needs work.Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: It's a beautiful property and right on the beach. It's nice that it's at the far East end of the Waikiki strip as it feels more secluded.
Cons: The rooms need to be updated and brought into 2015.
Location: I love the funky Wailana Cafe across the street. It's been there since the 60's. It's a short 15 minute walk to the Ala Moana mall. Great shopping!
We have been coming here for 5 years now and have seen it decline in that time. They seem to be really catering to young kids now and there are rowdy kids yelling and jumping off everything at the pools. Tried to use the one jacuzzi last year and a drunk teen dropped his beer bottle and it smashed and broken glass was all over. I asked the desk why they are allowing people to have glass bottles and climb all over the landscaping and they just kind of shrugged. There is zero security and zero supervision at this property. The 1970's coffee maker in the room barely works and turns off after making half a cup and leaking water everywhere. Can't a Hilton afford a K-cup machine? They charge you a resort fee and yet when we tried to use the gym 4 out of 6 treadmills were out of order! The lounge chair and ottoman in my room was filthy. I mean black! I took a picture and emailed management. They sent me an automated response saying my email was important to them and never got back to me. To top it all off, they are building a new tower here and the construction noise is so bad, our balcony was unusable the whole trip.
