Very good hotel.

It was pretty much everything you see at a movie. 35$ a night for parking though, but the valet service is sweet. Everything is billed to your room, so no need to come up with quick cash. Everyone is so nice! Great views also from the window. Food is ridiculously priced at the hotel. Once you step into your hotel room, prepare to be amazed by culture shock.

Average hotel in a good location

Posted Aug 19, 2016
Pros: The bath products, the housekeeping staff, the floor space
Cons: Carpets could be updated, bathrooms could be improved, pool is too small
Location: It is really close to Waikiki beach, the Ala Moana mall, and many restaurants.
I am really torn on how to rate the Modern Honolulu. It was not a bad hotel, but it was not exactly a nice hotel, either. First, if you are looking for a hotel right on the beach, this is not your hotel. It is a fairly short walk to Waikiki, but you have to walk behind the hotel, down a ramp, and around the Hilton Lagoon. If you're OK with a short walk, you'll be fine. The hallways are dim, the elevators are small and a little dingy, and the carpet is worn. The hotel pool was really small, and the parking is valet only in a crowded little driveway. I recommend parking across the street for $20 a day, with in and out privileges, so you are not beholden to the valet. (We did the valet for two days and then switched.)The room itself was a little better - the bed was comfortable (it is a low platform bed and looked as if it might be uncomfortable, but it was fine), and the sheets and towels were clean. The carpet needed to be updated, and the furniture on the balcony was pretty rusty. The bath products were surprisingly pretty nice, there was a mini fridge in the room, and there was enough floor space for our luggage. The door to the shower didn't seal properly, so it leaked water. The bathroom had shutters to the rest of the room so it never felt completely private. Overall, the hotel wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either. It's definitely not a luxury hotel, but it's close to Waikiki, shopping, and restaurants, and it's comfortable enough.

Pros: 落ち着いた感じ
Cons: タクシーの数が少ない事
Location: ワイキキの中心からは少し離れているため移動がめんどくさい所がありますが、その分静かで雰囲気のあるホテルです。

Great location. A short walk from beach.

Has free coffee at the room. But needs to have some coffee and bakery or fruit down at the lobby too. Or may be a Starbucks like stuff for a quick stop. Nice otherwise.
