As for the parking, the hotel does not have a self-parking option, as we are strictly a valet parking only establishment. This is reflected in the 'About the Hotel' section of our Expedia page. Like a grand old lady

Lovely looking hotel, like a grand old lady. Location is pretty good too. Our room was huge but no wardrobe and heavy dark shower curtain makes it too dark in the shower. Thought these a bit strange and glad I was only staying one night. Staff lovely.

Lovely amenities, but dated and BEDBUGS..

Pros: Best restaurant and bar.
Cons: BATHROOMS MUST BE UPDATED AND SCRUBBED FOR BEDBUGS!!
Location: Central to the Uptown district.
I have stayed at this hotel for years and always loved it for its convenient location, classic style and awesome restaurant (best breakfast in town). My last visit was disappointing, however. I had hoped that at the high price I paid for a 4 star resort that they would have remodeled their 1960s bathrooms. They have a tiny tub, small sink and no counter space. On my first two visits, I thought that maybe there were just a few older styled rooms, since I always book through Expedia and I was placed in one of the older rooms by the elevators - which is what hotels tend to do when you book through a third party with lower rates. But, I have now stayed in three rooms, and they are all the s:(ame. BUT THE WORST PART WAS THAT THIS VISIT, I ACTUALLY GOT BIT BY BED BUGS!! I wish I had known what it was before I left, but I didn't learn that these bites are classic bed bug bites until I returned home. I tried to reach out to the hotel to tell them so they could clean my room, but no one has bothered to return my detailed, but professional, email, so I am going public with this dirty secret. I hate to do it to such a classic hotel like the Warwick, but I don't want other people having this terrible experience. My skin crawls when I think of it and I have had to clean all my clothes since I didn't know in advance to isolate my suitcase and clothing. Disappointed.

Thank you for your review. Our Director of Housekeeping in fact reached out to you as soon as we received your email letting you know we will inspect the room immediately. We take this comment very seriously and work with an independent pest control company to address any issues expeditiously and permanently. Upon our initial investigation we did not find any signs of any insects in your room, but will still have the room professionally maintained to be certain. The Warwick Melrose was built in 1924 and many of our rooms are of different sizes and have varying sized bathrooms. In many classic Hotels, features differ from room to room including bathroom size due to the construction of the building almost 100 years ago. Please understand, we do not assign Guests rooms based on rate or how they book their reservation, rather, the specific room type reserved. We truly appreciate all the kind words you mention about Landmark Restaurant, our wonderful location and as you say the classic style of Melrose Hotel.

Great choice

Pros: Large rooms & the complimentary town car was very useful.
Cons: The 1st two nights were perfect but on our last 2 nights we had to put up with loud air-con from possibly below us that vibrated the whole room.
Location: Very nice Italian restaurant nearby & a few minutes walk to the Highline walking track which took us to an amazing French cafe for brunch.
Very nice hotel in quiet area of Uptown Dallas. We found the room to be large & extremely comfortable. Great beds & huge bathroom. The Library was a cool place to sit and have a drink & bite to eat listening to live music. Take the towncar to Dragonfly restaurant at Hotel Zaza or Fearings at Ritz Carlton for exceptional food.

Comfortable bed and pillows

I had to stay overnight on a Friday night. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be. I paid $210 for the night. The room was big, it was classy. The lounge downstairs had a piano with a singer. I slept good on the comfortable bed and pillows. Will stay here again.

The hotel was a quick walk to many fun bars and clubs. Also near many restaurants. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever experienced in a hotel. I will be staying here again.
