Woman in front desk horrible attitude. No costumer service, she wasn’t helping at all she doesn’t even try. The valet guy was the best, before my check out.

This is a nice Marriott. My only real complaint would be the restaurant doesn't stay open all day. It should stay open through the lunch hour, at least till 2:00pm. It's noisy but, it's not their fault. It's located in downtown Oakland.

Staff was great - friendly and helpful. The property is showing its age and is in need of a facelift. The area around the hotel is nice during the day, but pretty sketchy at night. What can I say...it's Downtown Oakland.

We were given the wrong room. The first night we decided to eat at the Bistro which was a huge mistake. We waited 90 minutes for our food only to find out they ran out of what we ordered and substituted the food for something else without telling us. Then for breakfast the next morning they had no one to work so we had to walk to the closest place in 50 degree weather and through and under a bridge where there were several homeless people and it was a tense feeing. Overall the hotel and service was good but was unhappy with the Bistro and original room selection.

Unfortunately had someone attempt to rob us by following us into the hotel lobby "they didnt need a key to get in"....besides that the customer servive wasbt good and the required valet parking was unorganized. The rooms were pretty nice though

Hotel was clean and room was larger than expected. The hotel had no amenities despite claims they did. There was never coffee downstairs, no room service available, restaurant was closed except for breakfast, no microwave in room. $4.50 for a soda from the "market" next to the front desk. Rooms cleaned only on request, even for a 3 night stay. No soap or shampoo, tiny amount of kleenex and toilet paper. No ice machine on our floor. ADA room was very far from elevators. Parking was$50 day and off site. Despite all this, the staff was very friendly.

Great stay, the front desk people were so helpful. Centrally located easy to get around. We were able to walk to and from the Fox Theatre, returning late at night and felt safe. We walked up the street to the Blue Bottle for Great coffee and breakfast in the morning.

Excellent stay. The Front desk staff were so nice & helpful with anything we needed. The food at the cafe was delicious and priced reasonably. I will definitely stay at this location again.

Oakland's Hidden Gem
This is a hidden gem in Oakland. The Suite is very large and only a few more dollars that a regular room - worth the price! The pull out sofa bed was not comfortable at all but worked well as a sofa. The entire hotel is SPOTLESS! I was very surprised how clean it was. The rooms were immaculate and the grounds and common areas were well maintained and never say debris anywhere. Hard to do when they serve complimentary popcorn in the lobby! All the staff were fantastic. I've never been asked how was my stay and when I left, I truly felt like they wanted me back. The valet parking is a but higher than most places but the attendants were amazingly quick. The car was there before the elevator from the 4th floor after calling for it from the room. It was difficult to find anything wrong with this place.

Everything was great really. But, the AC didn't work in our room. When i told them, they just said they'd make note. But there was no attempt at a sorry for the inconvenience gesture. I mean, a small discount or something would have been appreciated. Knock a fee or two off or something. But, the ataff was really nice, and the inside of the hotel was really clean and quiet.

Thank you for the comment on the friendly staff. We do only offer valet parking at 45 per night. This includes unlimited in and out privileges. We also have hotel security to ensure we keep the hotel and area as safe as possible.

I must commend all the staff at this hotel. I just felt super welcome from all the staff I interacted with from the reception to the valet parking staff. In particular, Serhat at the front desk really went above and beyond the call of duty to make me feel welcomed. He was always kind and helpful. Usually at the hotels, the staff provide competent service. With Serhat, he made you feel very special and that your business to the property is appreciated. He is super professional and full of good suggestions for local knowledge where to go and what to do. He is the reason I decided to come back for a second stay of multiplayer night. Thanks!
