Relaxing

The hotel has a very relaxing setting. I love that the Caesar Chavez park is accessible from the hotel. A great place to unwind! Easy access to both Berkeley and San Francisco. The staff is more than accommodating.

It was nice close to downtown and the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable to stay couple days.

It was just ok except bathroom . I got a room that has a shower booth not bathtub. Bathroom wall was dirty and I dont know what the stains are and the shower booth was dirty.They need to be update. I never asked to get a room has connected doors both side and bathroom for showerbooth for wheel chair access not a bathtub. I didn't like at all. But all staffs are nice and friendlly

Hotel next to the marina, a little spread out.

A long hotel and a bit of a walk to get to the front desk. The door card readers don't always work. They charge $18 a day for parking and the card reader never worked when trying to enter or leave the parking lot. The restaurant was good with a limited menu.

NOT HAPPY FOR THE MONEY

Pros: the view and the front lobby.
Cons: You would have to call me for this one.
Location: nice location
To keep room warm the heater was very loud and have to run most of the time. The shower curtain had a lot of mold and the handle almost coming off, the room was not cleaned when we came back at 3.30 pm, no cell service at all, had to sign up to be able to use the internet. the pillows very low quality. The breakfast came out poorly with problems but they did take off 2 meals on the bill. The lady at the front desk barely spoke English. I would not put the name Hilton on the outside of this hotel. The elevator did not work also for my mom to get to 2nd floor.

Beware of Late Check-in

Pros: The setting at the marina is nice. Most rooms are spacious.
Cons: Expedia clients should always be given the type of room they reserved and paid for rooms in advance.
I travel to the Bay Area often, and have stayed at the Doubletree marina six times in the past four months. I always reserve a room with king-size bed and generally arrive at the hotel close to midnight. Two of the last three times I stayed here, I was given a room with two double beds instead of the king-size bed I had reserved and paid for. Neither time was I told of this switch when I checked in. Both times, I was told the hotel was sold out, and could not be moved to the type of room I had reserved and paid for. Because I had paid through Expedia, I was also told there was nothing that could be done to adjust the rate I had paid. I was, however, offered a free breakfast that I didn't really want. The second time this switch occurred, the desk clerk initially told me that I had reserved a room with two double beds, which I hadn't. The clerk and I eventually determined that I had, in fact, reserved a room with king-size bed, and that a Doubletree manager had "assigned" me to the room with two double beds. I asked to speak to that manager, was told he had left for the evening, and left a message for the manager to call me the next day, which he never did. The Doubletree is a nice hotel, but my advice is to stay there only if you do not have to check in late.

Booked a king bed in up with a full

First thing out of there mouth was expedia change the room because they were full and it was the only rooms available first the room was ADA ROOM AND IT LOOK LIKE A Dungen the hallway look like a prison faculty medical without the large window to see in the cell the room were small and crampons for the cost not even plus 18 dollar to park close and my friend have a handicap and couldn't find one handy cap parking near the door .it need to be investigated for ADA parking

Great location

Love the location. Right at the harbor overlooking all the boats. Nice bar and restaurant in the hotel so you can have dinner with a beautiful view.

We had a wonderful stay.

Pros: We like the location.
Location: Great location. Right at the Marina.
Happy that our stay went smoothly and everything was wonderful. We liked our room. The staff was friendly. The cleaning staff was also very friendly.

Worst Hotel

We reserve 2 bed room, but they did not have it. Front person were not good. Noisy Air Conditioning.
