Avoid this place

Posted May 23, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Location is within the shops but there are lots of hotel within much better.
This is not even up to a one star hotel...the place is totally dirty with many people that don't look like guests to the hotel running around. Everywhere is dirty. They never clean my room for five days even after a written complain. The complementary breakfast thing is just a sham, I think Expedia should be confirming this before they allow such to be posted. If not, people will no longer trust what hotels posts here. There is no even sitting area. When we asked they said its just a grab and go of coffee and a cake, but they should have mention it on web as grab and go instead of complimentary breakfast. I will never stay in any Extended Stay ever again because of this experience. The brand is out of my list forever. The bed is so tiny, not a true queen size, its little wider than single bed. I almost reduce my days to leave earlier but then I have to cancel my ticket which means another cost.

One night stay in Emeryville

Posted May 20, 2017
Room sold as non-smoking yet could tell it had been smoked in in the past; found sign by elevator indicating it was a designated-smoking floor, yet front desk claimed that floor had been recently converted. Otherwise room was fine and clean. Beds quite firm.

No frills but I'd stay again

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Super close proximity to my event (held at Bullseye Glass) and stores/restaurants. Free parking and free wi-fi although I opted to upgrade for speed.
Cons: It's all a little tired; wood furniture's a bit cheap. Desk chairs were good quality though. Ice/soda machine would be helpful.
Location: Adjacent to a shopping center with plenty of stores for necessities and even a bit of leisure shopping. Safe location for staying alone.
As a woman staying in a hotel alone, safety is my biggest issue. I liked that the hotel is close to a major shopping center which includes Target, Safeway, Ulta, Nordstrom Rack, Michael's crafts, etc. In other words, lots of entertaining and/or necessary shops close by. Parking is free and in my four nights I always managed to get a spot within 4-5 cars of the front door. My room was on the second floor and very quiet. This is a no-frills room; towels are inexpensive but bleached and clean. Linens were average. I brought my own pillow and blanket since I was traveling by car, so I do that no matter where I stay. There was shampoo and soap in the bathroom but not much else. The kitchenette was serviceable but you need to request a coffee maker, dishes, etc. I did that and they were delivered in moments. I'd recommend buying a small bottle of dish soap and a roll of paper towels. Bring your own toiletries, but as I mentioned, Target is next door. They'll tell you they have a free breakfast but it consists of coffee (with non-dairy creamer) and packed muffins and granola bars. There is no ice machine in the hotel; I asked and was told that I had ice cube trays in my freezer so I could make my ice. Oakland's tap water is fine to use/drink but I bought bottled water at Target. I didn't have any housekeeping during the time I was there but I could've requested it. My room was clean, and everything worked. My husband had flowers delivered and they were waiting when I arrived.

No Breakfast Provided

Posted Apr 6, 2017
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Put out a regular motel breakfast as promised or say no breakfast provided only granola bars.
Location: It's a hundred feet from the ghetto with like clientele.
Your/their website specifically said "Complimentry Breakfast". What they had was a granola bar in a cabinet. I booked it because of the free breakfast. Looking at other websites and photos it shows a fancy presentation of a "grab and go" with oatmeal, tea, three coffees, etc. A granola bar and a "grab and go" was not what I was told. It said "Complimentary breakfast". In the motel business that is bagels, toast, yogurt, waffles, cereal, juices, etc. This was fraud.

The pictures are different from real life

The rooms are big and full kitchen which is nice. There is no daily guest room service, the hotel has a weird smell, and found dirty sheets. I will not stay here again ever.

Nice staff, not a nice hotel

Posted Mar 27, 2017
So this hotel is located in a nice area in Oakland, close to a shopping center (Target, Best buy stores nearby). The staff was nice, however I was disappointed with the premises. The hotel is divided in smoking and non-smoking rooms. However, you can smell smoke odors emanating from people and their clothes, specially in common areas such as elevators, lobby, etc. The room I stayed in was a little outdated, [furniture, tv, kitchenette appliances seemed old]. Also the blanket was dirty, seemed like it didn't washed all the way in their washer. I felt uncomfortable staying there, specially because I had my 4 year old daughter with me. I only stayed there one night and payed a little over 100 dollars. It was cheap but, I thought it would've been a better looking/comfy hotel, I was wrong. The only thing I liked was the staff, specially the front desk girl Paris, that helped me deal with Expedia people, apparently my room was reserved, but expedia had given them the wrong credit card info. But Paris was super helpful even though she was busy taken care of 1000 other things at the same time.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you liked our convenient location and front-desk service. I will be sure to share your kind words with Paris for a job well done. However, our promise to our guest includes a commitment to providing a clean & fresh environment and I am very sorry that did not happen when you were here. I am very concerned about your experience and have immediately brought this to the attention of my housekeeping for review and action. Please know this is not usual for us, and we hope you give us another chance in the future. Sincerely, General Manager
