Restaurants within 1 block (up Foothill): Portal, Rockin' Crawfish. Since 2010 the walking path and landscaping around the entire lake has been upgraded. It's now very beautiful. During daylight hours it's safe to walk around the entire lake, along with all the families, musicians, runners, and people walking their dogs (and once I saw a duck on a leash being taken for a swim). The gondola is often out at sunset. A pistachio and Almond gelato popsicle is a good option to enjoy on a warm summer day. Chicken and waffles! Not to mention good Mac and cheese!
