Who is in my room?

Pros: NOTHING!!!
Cons: The staff should be properly trained regarding guest rights. Also there were dirty wet towels stuffed under the office doors. This pace is a mess!!
Location: University Ave Berkeley Ca. Things to do nearby should include finding a different hotel!!!
I live in Lake Tahoe. I recently booked a room at La Quinta Berkley for July 14,2017.I had tickets for a show at The Greek Theater that night. There were a few acquaintances of mine also going to the concert. .I had told someone I had not seen in over ten years that I had booked a room at La quinta hotel. When I arrived much to my surprise the girl at the front desk told me there was someone in my room? She said a woman had called and said she and another man I had never met would be staying with me??? They took a credit card # from her for incidentals and let a woman I had not seen in over ten years and a man I had NEVER met into my room!!!! We arrived and I was furious. The girl at the front desk said we could all get together and settle this. As I DID know this woman from my past life I was uncomfortable having a conversation with the hotel staff, A friend from decades ago and a man I had never met before. I decided to just try and deal with this VERY uncomfortable situation as these two people had nowhere else to sleep. Needless to say it was a complete nightmare!!! The strange man I was forced to share a room with snored like a chainsaw, my son who was to be the ONLY other person in the room ended up sleeping in the bathtub with a pillow. By the time we were let into this room both of the beds were a mess and appeared that someone had sex in them. I think this was TOTALLY unprofessional of the hotel staff to let someone in MY room without my consent!!!

Comfortable night's sleep for the large dog owner.

We chose this hotel because they allowed our 50 lb. dog stay with us without an additional fee. The staff was pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and there was easy freeway access. However, it's on a busy street in a so-so neighborhood. Also, the first thing we smelled when we stepped out of the elevator was marijuana.

Reasonable good hotel close to UC Berkeley

Everything else are OK. The cleaning staffs are terrible. Speak and talk very loudly and joke around very loudly. Try to make a phone call in the living room. The cleaning staff were so loud that I was not able to concentrate on talking. I have to stop and request to lower down their voice. In the hall way the same way, the voice of cleaning ladies talk so loud like broadcasting, I was woke up in the morning but still wanted to sleep more but I could not. I have to get up and get out to request to lower down the voice. The overall was Great if the hotel management can correct the rudeness of some of their staff.

Too loud and expensive

The room had a thermostat that was very difficult to manage the temperature. There was lots of noise both outside of the hotel and in the hallways that kept me awake all night

The room is clean and neat, free parking is helpful. The location is convience, not too close by Berkeley downtown, the environment is quiet and safe.

nice hotel close to Berkley university.

Pros: nice room, nice view, close to swimming pool and exercise room.
Cons: none.

I was visiting my nephew that goes to Berkeley university.

Need new beds

Everything was great except for the mattress. It was pretty uncomfortable. It felt like I was going to be swallowed up. The mattress was either old or poor quality. Everything else was great.
