Nice hotel and clean room

I enjoyed my stay for two nights at red lion. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the room was newly renovated and very clean.

Short stay before flight

Accommodated us earlier than the normal checkin time due to our circumstance ( nowhere to keep our luggage for 4 hours). Very pleasant staff and excellent accommodation

Accosted by the night female manager

Entered the hotel and was accosted by the female night manager about my service dog and when I booked and spoke to the day manager it was acknowlged she was coming. I've never been yelled at in any lobby regarding my service dig. I have all her documentation and it is illegal to even deny us. As a handicapped senior, I believe she needs further training.

Not a great experience

Was informed after leaving bag at hotel for later room assignment that I had no room. On top of that Expedia customer services could not find replacement hotel / room for me to stay in! Lucky I was able to crash at a friends.

Three nights for college graduation

Location: There is virtually nothing to do nearby, which is ironic given the close proximity to the professional sports arenas in the area. Alameda is fun.
We usually stay at a nearby hotel when we're in Oakland, but ended up here because of a late booking - a very fortuitous accident. This is the best place for the price in the Oakland Airport/Oracle area. Safe, clean, convenient and the staff was very friendly - like home in the islands. Rooms were well kept, clean, and very comfortable in terms of space, furnishing, and amenities. Cleaning staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was standard fare and the dining area was spacious and well staffed. Parking was $8 per day and a bit tight during an evening event at the hotel one night but otherwise no problem. Our only regret is that after four years of frequent travel from Hawaii to Oakland we found this place on our last trip for our son's graduation from a local college.

my stay was fine But is you need help going up stairs, with your luggage, make sure they don't put you in the east or west wing. No elevator.

Pros: Room
Staff need just to put over the top a smile goes a long way the maintenance crew had more smile and they would interact with guest and any the could help I still would recommend this place

Wifi is terrible.

If your planning on getting any work done on your computer, forget it. Internet is slow, and keeps disconnecting. Very inconvenicing. I even complained. Seems like they know about the issue and are not doing anything about it. It's 2017, and we NEED to be able to go online, or face time with a loved one when we are away, or get work done. For a Red Lion hotel, this is unacceptable. Completely unacceptable...
