Close to Bart and Downtown Berkeley

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Location
We chose to stay here because it was reasonably priced (relative to SF) and close to BART so a fairly easy ride into the city.

Convenient and value-priced

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Pros: Price and parking
Cons: Rooms in definite need of update.
Adequate value for price. Room was shabby with a smoky-musty odor but nicely cleaned each day. TV didn't work. Easy parking. Not a place to stay if you will need to spend much time in room but OK as a place to sleep and carryout your business elsewhere.

Decent place for the price

Posted Jul 9, 2015
The room was clean The hotel staff was polite, the bed was adequate, I found the breakfast to be somewhat disappointing. It was quiet at night. There was plenty of parking available. It was a decent room for the price . I would probably stay there again if I was in town, just plan on having breakfast somewhere else

Close to BART

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Cons: More offerings at breakfast
This is an excellent 2 Star motel. The exterior appeared to be freshly painted and the asphalt was new. The bed was good, staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. The BART was 4 short blocks away which took us into downtown San Francisco in 30 minutes avoiding the high parking rates there. There is a great Thai restaurant on the property so we didn't need to drive. The coffee at breakfast was the best we had during our road trip and if you like toast it would be fine.

Reasonable price for Berkeley

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The price was good. Colorful flowers outside. Rooms were clean
Cons: Attention to light bulbs would have helped a lot. While it was all updated in 2007, it is hard to disguise an old motel.
Location: 7 eleven was 1 block away.
Hotel was fine. Off street parking was good. Rooms were clean. Not in the nicest area but the price was the best we found for Berkeley. Beds were comfortable. TV clicker needed new batteries. Some light bulbs were out.

Very pleasant and dependable! We have stayed here many times as our son is a student at UC Berkeley.

Cons: The water pressure in the shower was so weak that one could barely get wet, taking a shower was laborious. The breakfast was meager
Overall satisfactory. Staff helpful. Cleanliness excellent. Approach is difficult coming from the freeway.

Not worth the price tag

The location is not too bad to walk to local restaurants but the room was dated and the bed was very uncomfortable. I did not know what to expect as I've never stayed at this chain but for the amenities and quality, this should be a the most a $50/night motel.

The bathroom was dirty. Which was a deal breaker for me. The inn itself had a charm of its own .
