Value! Nice location. Rooms dated, but functionalPosted Sep 28, 2015
Outside looks more dated than inside. Room offers minimum amenities and comfort but great to have access to a large, semi-private patio. Staff is very friendly and make up for the place's structural deficiencies. Everything works, place is fairly well maintained, clean. breakfast ok, property secured and safe - So a fairly good value for $140 considering the location. Would stay there again.

Weekend in BerkeleyPosted Sep 16, 2015
Pros: Breakfast and WiFi.
Cons: Some of the flooring and mirrors and windows could use updating. Also nice if there was an opportunity for air conditioning for those rare hot days
Location: About 1 mile from campus A good and fun walk
Went to Berkeley to celebrate my daughter's birthday and go to a Cal football game. The hotel room was beautiful. Only problem, it was unseasonably hot in Berkeley and there was no air conditioning for the room and only one window which would not stay open. The breakfast is wonderful. One feels safe as the Inn feels more like a number of separate apartments and not a hotel.

Lovely hotel close to UC BerkeleyPosted Sep 14, 2015
Cons: The Rose Garden does have parking on site but only for some of the rooms. The rest of the guests have to find parking on the crowded side streets.
I arrived early for my reservation. I was greeted promptly by friendly, professional staff who checked to see if my room was all ready for me, them allowed my to check-in early. Lovely room furnished in keeping with the age and style of the building, late 19th century, I think. It provided a perfect introduction to life in Berkeley: calm inside the building, crowds outside, eclectic styles all around, vitality everywhere, walking distance to most everything you could want, public transportation easily available, all surrounding the expanse of the University which is about a mile north.

Comfortable hotelPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: Staff, cookies and breakfast.
Location: Restaurants and whole foods near by.
We stay there just for one day. However we were nicely surprised, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was comfortable and we did not have any problem. What we enjoyed the most were the free delicious cookies that they have from 2 to 5pm.

surprising!Posted Sep 6, 2015
Cons: Breakfast is included but not much of an option for vegetarians. Just eggs and pork sausages. This hotel is not worth the price.
Location: Close to shopping.
This hotel from the outside would impress you but the rooms even though a good size is arranged very akwardly which makes it not very comfortable. The worst disappointment is I went in summer and the rooms have no air conditioner. Their excuse is 'Berkeley is cool at night so open your windows.' Okay well there is alot of noise at night outside along with the clashing of pots and pans in the kitchen that you can hear all the way in your room. Sorry but you are paying alot of money and it should be up to the customer to decide if they want to use the air conditioner if needed. Its summer people!!!

My only complaint was noise level, both from outside the room and adjoining room. No fixing that though--older building that isn't sound proof able. Otherwise a great place to stay. Clean, full free breakfast, pleasant ambiance.

Comodo, gradevole, vicino al centro di BerkeleyPosted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Gli spazi all'aperto, i "trompe oeil", le prime colazioni.
