Wonderful hotel in the oldtown. Comfy rooms, excellent service and great staff. Works well for a family looking for a few beds. Very good wifi and a nice continental breakfast. Close by shopping and restaurants. Only downside is no air conditioning. On a hot day, the room is uncomfortable. Once you get the windows open at night, it cools down, and the staff provided extra fans. If we are in the area again, will definitely go back.

Quaint, great location, large rooms but....

Posted Jun 29, 2017
Pros: Big rooms, great location, free nearby parking,
Cons: Needs air conditioning and better plumbing for the shower
Location: Lots of shops, restaurants, patisseries etc... in walking distance.
This is a cute hotel, built out of the former governors mansion. Facilities and rooms are quaint yet generously sized and you are right near a free parking lot and town with lots of great restaurants (including one with 2 Michelin stars!!!!) However, be aware if you go in the summer there is no Air Conditioning (it was how on the 2nd floor, even with the windows open). Also, I did not appreciate the antiquated plumbing which led to the shower alternating between extremely hot and freezing cold.

A great hotel for sleeping and eating

What a great place to stay to be so near to wineries. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, use of the living room, with easy walking into the center of town.

Great little place to stay with friendly staff. There is ample free parking very close to the hotel if you are going by car. There are very good restaurants nearby. They provide breakfast at one extra cost but the menu is limited.

Room located close to very busy road. Insulation between floors non existent as you can hear every move from room above
