If you want cheap, you won't be disappointed.Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Booked it for the price and because not else was available. So we pretty much "got what we paid for" (ss). They did have free off-street parking.
Cons: Clean and refurbish the rooms, fix the windows and add AC so the windows could be closed at night to drown out the noise.
Location: Location was very good. Near the beach (2 blocks) and Linclon Park Golf Course.
Well, the room condition was poor, at best. The carpets were worn and stained. The "closet" was full of old lamps and cleaning supplies. One crank for the window was laying on the floor; the other inoperable. Our "no smoking" room had an empty pack of cigarettes holding open the window; I suspect to draw out the smoke; but you could still sure smell it. I wondered why the TV volumne was so high when I turned it on until I heard the noise from the electric trams, which started its route outside our windows at 5:00 am and continued until 11:00 pm. But at least the tram noise drowned out the noise from the local "biker/low-life bar below until the trams stopped running. From then until 3:00 am or so, we had to listen to motorcycles, foul language, yelling from men and women who apparently were not happy with their "dates"; and the loud music.

Street Car Terminus- Termites were disturbedPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: nice restaurants close by-short walk to beach. If YOU were relying solely on public transportation, this is ur spot: N Judah connects to all of Muni
Cons: Facilities major renovation; closet & bath walls facing Street Car need superior sound-proofing~ foundation work needed: bed shaken by Street Cars~2am
Location: Fleischhacker Zoo, Beach bonfires, segway rentals, SF restaurants
SF "Light Rail" Street Cars were rolling until 2 am and in actuality, noisier than the freight trains that roll through Truckee (just no whistles). The room had been cleaned by maid service adequately, yet the facilities are almost degraded beyond their intended useable life (carpetting, draperies, furniture). This room had a "swiss cheese" floor underneath the carpet (I had to get the weak, unsupported areas memorized).

Beach MotelPosted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: price, convenient location
Cons: upgrade rooms
Location: walking distance to beach...near coffee shop and 7/11, public transportation right there.
The room was not the cleanest (bathroom and carpeting - bedding ok) and facilities were old...however price was good and the room had a fridge and microwave. Room served its purpose. Staff was polite but not overly friendly. Good location right on the public transportation route...could hear the train regularly.

Never againPosted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Location to the beach and Java Beach Cafe
Knew upon reserving this motel that it was not going to be the best, however it was worse then I expected.....dirty windows, dirty window sills, no screens. Mold spots on bathroom shower curtain. No light covering in bathroom. no ventilation in BR...distinct smell! very old and outdated. Staff hardly spoke to me upon check-in/out Loud street noise all night. Hole in window. What looked like what used to be a fireplace was boarded up and had a plastic grocery store type bag to close up a gap. TV, Microwave, and mini fridge (which had mold in it) were all plugged into a power which on the floor. Bed was poorly made. Restaurants near by were very good. Super nice weekend also and were within walking distance to the beach. Not sure how they made the list onto Expedia...sorry!

Don't expect too much and you'll be fine here!Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Good location (right at the beach, close to public transport, walking distance to the park.) Safe neighborhood (walked around alone at 10pm as a woman. I wouldn't recommend this, but I never felt scared and no one bothered me.) One of the cheapest rooms around. Still overpriced, but it's San Francisco. Room looked like it hasn't changed since 1983 but I thought that was kinda cute. More importantly though, it was clean. There's a tv, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. Cons: My room smelled like cigarette smoke. I don't know if a previous guest had smoked or if it was coming in through the vents. My mini-fridge was so loud that I had to unplug it to sleep and I'm not noise sensitive. Neutral: Noise from the street. I sleep like a rock so it was not an issue for me, but if you're a light sleeper you'd likely wake up every time the public transport rolls by. In conclusion, I would stay here again.

Affordable, Close to beachPosted Jun 30, 2015
Affordable motel close to coffee, good restaurants, beach, and muni. Free parking saved money and the room was comfortable, had tv, refrigerator, and clean.

Not bad, good pricePosted Jun 22, 2015
Not the nicest hotel but it was cheap so I went for it. Overall I'm happy with the decision, the neighbourhood seemed safe, the bed was comfortable and the room had many conveniences such as a microwave and fridge, you can also ask the front desk for an electric kettle. The main pitfall was the noise, the light rail that travels by the hotel every 10 or so minutes is quite loud so if you're not a heavy sleeper it could be a problem.
