Friendly staff willing to accommodate

Pros: The willingness of all staff members to make our stay enjoyable.
Cons: Air conditioning goes on and off, which takes some getting used to.
Location: Easy access to main route off of the strip for doing side-trips. Good restaurants in the area.
Staff was friendly & willing to accommodate requests. Easy access to indoor and outdoor pools also the beach and ocean. Good location to use as a base for trips off the strip. Good restaurants in the area.

Amenities are nice, but...

Its time to renovate this hotel. Decor, rooms carpet & hvac systems are dated and not in the best of conditions. Pools, bars and restaurants are nice and clean. We will stay there again, but will certainly look at other options, there are many new hotels in the area with competitive pricing.

Needs a Facelift

This hotel has so much potential, but is in dire need of a facelift! The location was great! It's right on the beach with hammocks, a nice pool, a swim up bar and a large tennis court. The pool closed at 8pm but the bar and outdoor restaurant closed at 5pm! We came off the beach around 4:30 to enjoy the pool for awhile,and were very disappointed that everything was closing up for the day. It was a shame because we were looking forward to a few drinks poolside and, possibly, a quick, early dinner at the outdoor restaurant. We wound up eating at the Italian restaurant inside the hotel which was fair. The decor of the hotel, overall, was absolutely depressing! The curtains in the lobby were very dark and outdated. The hallways and elevators were so shabby and rather creepy. My kids said they were waiting to see the twins from "The Shining" down the hall!! The room itself was ok. It had a very small bathroom. One suggestion would be to have a vanity on the outside of the bathroom, so people can use the mirror/sink while someone else is showering. If you don't care about the shabbiness, I'd recommend this hotel. If you want something more updated, stay somewhere else.

Sliders were loud

Hotel sliders to balcony above room sounded like a piercing chalkboard. Room was ok but shower was old and tub had a concave dip. Pool was icebox and ocean was warmer. I wouldn't stay here again

I will never stay in the Holiday Inn again.

Location: There were a lot of miniature golf places and lots of gift shops.
This hotel was dirty. My room wasn't ready even though I had a reservation. The carpet was so dirty that when I walked around it in my socks, my socks were filthy. The grout in the shower was moldy. When I went to the hotel laundry room, the dryers didn't work and the ceiling was leaking like a sieve. When I went to the courtesy desk to find out where I could buy stamps, the guy at the desk said, "at a post office" no kidding my question was where is the nearest post office. I was from Albany NY and had no clue where the post office was. They were not friendly nor did they care about customers.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Get rid of the tennis court. It is the only thing you see. Add another pool or enlarge the existing pool.
Location: Close to everything. Walking distance to a lot of stuff as well.

Not worth the money

Based on the per night right, I expected a lot more out of this hotel. The rooms are outdated and there were rust spots all over the ceiling of our bathroom. I could have spent my 369.00 dollars per night a lot more wisely if I would have known. Our room was next to the elevator and it was very noisy. We asked to be moved and the front desk stated that it wasn't possible. Also, the housekeeping is very slow. The room wasn't cleaned until 4:00 in the afternoon. Overall I just expected much more for the price.

High hopes, let down

I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Ocean City, MD for a week in July 2017. It was the one located at 6600 Coastal Hwy. I have to say that I was EXTREMELY disappointed. The staff at the front desk was VERY rude. The ceiling in our shower had a leak, that we did complain about – but no one showed up to take care of anything. There was also a leak in the floor in the kitchenette area. Our rooms were not made up until around 3/4pm, which was hard with two children as that was around their nap time. I should say, if they were made up at all, because there were two days where no one showed up, and we had to call the front desk. Keep in mind, we were gone for HOURS from around 9-2pm. The whole experience was just really disappointing, and I expected much better. I will not be returning to this hotel nor recommending it.
