Nice Hotel, Perfect Location

Posted Aug 28, 2015
We enjoyed our stay. View of the ocean was amazing and room was spacious and clean. Just wished that the beds were a little more comfortable. The indoor pool was great, but it seemed as though many used the outdoor pool as a sand remover (always a lot of sand in the pool) Overall a nice stay and I would go back.

Great location. Needs some maintenance. Mold in bathroom on ceiling tiles. Close to boardwalk. Would recommend to friends

Not what was advertised/Very rude staff

Posted Aug 21, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer service, cleanliness inside, not lie about what the hotel includes, have people actually come in and clean room, replenish towels etc.
Location: Boardwalk is right there but you are at the opposite end, all rides etc and hour or so walk
Was supposed to include a free breakfast which is why we chose this hotel. It was actually a continental breakfast but not even that. Stale cereal (generic fruit loops/raisin bran) half dollar plain bagels, fresh fruit was advertised that was whole oranges and not ripe apples, coffee and orange juice which was at least 50% water. It was supposed to be from 7-10 but they were out of several things by 850-900 o'clock each day. The outside of the hotel is beautiful but the inside is filthy. After the first 2 days of this I went down to complain but the manager was not available. I spoke to a woman named Joan who acknowledged that they were out of stuff, primarily on this day milk. She said the truck didn't come. I went back to my room for 2 hours and never heard from the manager. After talking to Joan again her tone was very rude and she straight out lied to me and said she offered to give milk from another station! Which she did not. Then she went on to say well what did you eat and drink there and I told her I had watered down coffee and she said well at least you had something. Normally I would never stay at an Econolodge but it was beautiful from the outside and it was right on the beach and a 30 second walk to boardwalk....my mistake. Spent about a 1000.00 for for just 3 days, by far the worst bang for the buck I have encountered in my 41 years. Called expedia and spent 2 hours on the phone with them to clarify the breakfast that wasn't but there was a language barrier

Would never stay here again.

Posted Aug 18, 2015
This place is in serious need of upgradesand cleaning. I took the stairs because the one elevator in the building looked and felt like it was going to fall apart. There were piles of garbage/vacuum remnants on the floor in the hallway. The bathroom had ants everywhere. The floor around the toilet was sunken in and felt like if you sat down too hard the whole floor was going to cave beneath you. The shower took forever to drain so you were standing ankle deep in water. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. The slider to the balcony was broken, the lock was rigged. I will never stay here again. Absolutely terrible experience.

Upgrade from City View to Oceanfront

Posted Aug 13, 2015
Pros: Convenient to bus and short walk to boardwalk and beach. Nice outdoor pool. Free continental breakfast.
Cons: Some of the electrical outlets were not working. Locks on patio door difficult to lock.
Location: Short walk to Jolly Roger Amusement Park, restaurants, boardwalk and bus stops.
Inquired about upgrade at check-in and a room was available for the nights requested. Room was ready and clean. Teenage girls liked it very much.

Nice hotel, perfect walking distance

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Perfect walking distance from Boardwalk and beach nice indoor and outdoor pools, clean rooms, elevator was the only "iffy" thing but all in all would definitely stay again. It was close to Boardwalk without having all heavy traffic so to speak up in your face which was very nice!

Good vAlue

Had a first floor room by ocean front pool. Couldn't see ocean because of dunes, but kids loved being right next to the outdoor pool. Indoor pool was nice also. Hotel was clean. hotel was walking distance to Jolly Roger rides. Was a great value. Hotel breakfast was minimal, but free. Would stay again!
