The good, the bad and the ugly

excellent friendly, helpful maids and staff! Hotel and rooms, at least our suite, needs updating. The beds were cheery and comfy. The towels nice and thick and white. Had a dark wash cloth for “make up” use, neat idea. Could not get the hot and cold water in main bathtub to give a comfy temp, was either cold or hot. Overall, the suite was adequate but just needed newness, fixin up, remodeled. Door to hallway lacked complete tightness - light and noise came thru. Glass door to balcony too old to be cleaned with clarity. Old lamps, furniture, just not “darlin” which is what you hope for when spending so much per night (although Expedia rate much better than property rate. I would have been very unhappy had I had to pay full rate.)My recommendation is to UPDATE this place and it’s perfect. LOCATION GREAT! STAFF WONDERFUL

Simple but great beach access

The outside appearance was not very pleasing. I was a little concerned if I had made the right decision in booking. The staff that night of check-in was friendly but not the gentleman the next night. The elevator is very old and small so beware of trying to load the luggage cart in. The room and view made up for everything else. The rooms were very clean and the view was beautiful. Balcony view right on the beach with wonderful upkept outdoor pool. Indoor pool had chemicals so strong we could not stay and swim. Overall it was a good value for the location. Definitely needs some updating though. The biggest downfall was having to turn in used towels into linen before they closed. The hours were 9-4 so if you left earlier or came back later you didn’t get clean linens.

Basic beachfront hotel

Good location rooms and exterior are in need of renovation. Price paid was in line with quality of the room. Room had view of parking lot which was unclear when booking.

Older hotel, small room, nice view

The room was small but fine for me and husband. It is an older hotel. The elevator was really creaky. We took the stairs some instead. They worked on it one day that we were there. My main complaint was the TV wasn't working. The antennae cable appeared to have been ripped out of the TV, probably by a previous guest and not reported. I'm sure the maids don't check to see if the TV was working. We reported it, but it wasn't fixed during our two days there. The bed seemed nice, but I had the worst crick in my neck and a back ache after the second night. Beautiful view. Tiny balcony. Walking distance to shopping. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel close to beach

I would say, offer more coffee,etc in the room.Room was comfortable and view was awesome.More toiletries in room would be a plus.

Close to downtown OD.

Pros: Walking distance to OD.
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms. SHOWER ABND TUB
Location: Fat Harold's, Duck's, Spanish Galleon, OD Pavillion. Stores
Have stayed here before. The room was not very clean. VERY NOISY GUESTS all night long.
