Fantastic people

The staff at this resort are absolutely fantastic! We came here for our 25th anniversary and had a great time. The only disappointment was booked an ocean view room for something special on our anniversary and the room overlooked a roof below and had no clear view of the ocean. We would definitely come back to this resort but wouldn’t spend the extra on the room.

Had a nice stay. The food and staff were great. Beach was small. Stayed in the Lanai rooms which were convinet and steps away from piano bar. It’s a small resort so everything is super close compared to other bigger resorts.

Beautiful Resort with a Great Staff

This resort was so stunning. The pool, rooms, and grounds were meticulously kept and they were continually working on maintenance projects during our stay without disrupting anything. There are also many activities that you can do onsite and the travel desk staff were extremely helpful with booking excursions and scheduling shuttles to the airport. The shuttle does take about two hours to reach the resort from Montego Bay Airport due to making drop offs and other resorts, but it is well worth it for the price of this resort and the very friendly staff!

Vacation at Jewel

Pros: It was comfortable and had a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was courteous to the guests and there was immediate feedback for all requests made.
Cons: There are no changes recommended
Location: The Dunns River fall is an ideal location and is in close proximity to the hotel. There are also activities at the Dolphin Cove
The visit was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. The food at the restaurants was great and the staff was very helpful. There were lots of daily activities and it was easy to make friends with other guests. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Close to plenty attraction beach is right there

Some staff is really nice and willing we wait long for dinner on the second night apart from that it was a relaxing time for me

Great Hotel

This is a great hotel to stay at. Enjoyed the views, food and workers. But the WiFi sucked!!! And the rooms were a little outdated but other then that everything was great. Rooms were still comfortable and spacious. Beautiful view with the room we stayed in. Food and drinks were excellent and always available. Staff was awesome! Friendly, accommodating and attentive staff!

Pros: Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Clean. Worth the money. Free round-trip transfers to airport.
The staff make the resort a great place to be. They are friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place where everyone is just looking to enjoy themselves and have a good time, this place is for you. Nice size room.

Immaculate hotel with great beach, flavorless food

Rooms, staff, grounds are all excellent. The food, even in the speciality restaurants, looks amazing, but tastes like cafeteria food. Special shoutouts for 5 star service from Morris, Uton, Brenda, Sassy, O'Neil, Cornell and Norlett, for making our stay extra special.

Loud music outside room till 2am

Pros: Rooms were clean.
Cons: Hotel maintenance and consideration for guests
Location: Hour and half drive from Montego Bay
Hotel bands played outside beach view rooms till 2am. Asked to change to quieter garden view they refused even though hotel half empty. Elevators consistently out of service in a 6 story hotel. Hot tubs had cold water. Only half advertised restaurants open. All power out for an entire day.

The Jewel - Dunn's River

We booked a 7 day 7 night trip to Jamaica. For those who have never traveled to Jamaica I would recommend booking a longer stay because unfortunately travel time eats up 2 of your days. We made several stops to drop off travelers to other resorts and we were the last ones off. When we saw our resort, it was worth it! It was beautiful! We ate at all the restaurants but found the Moonstone to be the best. Resort food is resort food. Pretty much the same wherever you go. The beach was great but had taken some damage from the hurricanes. The ocean water in Jamaica is the saltiest I have ever encountered! They have two large pools, one noisy and one quiet. They also had a waterfall into the pool that was great. the grounds staff was constantly working to keep the resort in tip top shape. Gorgeous flowers and plants everywhere. We loved the stay but hated the travel.
