Old Historic Hitel

Posted Mar 19, 2017
I was excited about staying in a Vitoria hotel. Room was good, had a nice seating area & bed was comfortable. I had to wait about 45 minutes to register because the Front Desk attendant was no where to be found. Once she showed up, she was grumpy and not very nice. They are up grading the hotel, I'm sure once they are done it has the potential to be a 3-4 star hotel.

Did not meet expectation

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: The hotel lobby. Exactly as I expected.
Cons: Everything after that.
Location: In a worn down part of town. Which was expected but still sad to see. I was in meetings all day so I am not aware of anything to do nearby.
First appearances can be deceiving. The hotel lobby was fabulous. Just what was expected from an old hotel. After that everything declined. The person checking us in was so quiet we could not hear her and in casual attire.. There was another worker in a t-shirt and texting. Parking was pathetic. Adjacent parking was full. The other parking was around the corner. Walking back to the hotel with luggage was not on my agenda. Once in our suite it was beautiful. BUT the tv in the living room did not work. Called down to front desk. Was informed that we could watch tv on the bed. Why did we get a suite then? The bed was just like any other hotel bed (poor). Breakfast was supposed to be included. The dining establishment was just a cafe. Very Modern. Then we were informed that breakfast was limited to a certain menu if we wanted to use the coupon. Then we were charged for the meal. Had I know I would be charged I would have ordered something more to my liking. Needed to get to a business meeting and did not have time to let the manager know. Overall will not be going back to this hotel. Also will NOT be recommending this to other business associates.

Gorgeous old hotel

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Pros: I love the old architecture and large space in the room.
Cons: The restaurant at the top of the hotel was excellent and the one on the bottom floor was okay.
Location: Union Station museums and art galleries
The first and second stories of the hotel were built in the late 1800's and the rest of the levels were build or finished in the 1920's.

Beautiful building and comfortable stay

Posted Jan 25, 2017
Pros: the building is beautiful
Cons: the beds softer and less springy
Location: Really close to 25th street that has every restaurant you couldn't possibly want to go to.
other than the ice machines only being on a couple of floors and the beds being a little to springy this is a wonderful hotel and I would gladly stay here again.

Great price but watch your credit card charges

Posted Dec 12, 2016 on Hotels
Good size room and comfy beds. I was irked that they charged $12.75 twice on my credit card for "incidentals" and said they would refund after the room had been cleaned. I did not have any purchases while at the hotel.

Beautiful Hotel nestled in a small town. The entrance is welcoming and the view from all sides and floors is gorgeous. Walking distance to entertainment, food, church.
