Great Location and Lovely Accomodations

Posted Oct 22, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Earlier access to the continental breakfast would have been helpful.
The Abalonia was just perfect. We enjoyed a spacious room in a great location, close to all that Ogunquit had to offer. Ogunquit is a delightful seaside community with a number of great restaurants, shops and a beach!! The inn staff and owner were friendly and helpful. It was one of best stays in our 17 night journey of the Northeastern seacoast!!

Pros: It's a pretty hotel with an accommodating staff. The fire pit out front is a nice touch.
Cons: The room was very small. The refrigerator was in the closet which was a little weird.
It's a resort town, so expect to pay more for things. You also need to enjoy walking because there is a lot of that. There is no place to park. Our car never left the hotel once we got there. The beach is very nice.

Great Location. Great Staff.

Posted Oct 13, 2016
The INN is a lovely place and located with easy walking distance to restaurants, beach, and the Marginal Way path. Rooms are a little dated and in need of some updating so are some amenities (e.g pool). Although the rooms were clean. Breakfast is really only muffins coffee and juice. A little extra touch to the breakfast will go a long way (e.g. fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal,..etc). Although you have access to the kitchen if you wish to bring and cook your breakfast items. The staff are great and helpful. I understand they will be renovating next year and I will definitely return. Special Thanks to Joel & Jason at the front desk who went out of their way to accommodate just like home.

The highlight of the Abalonia was the customer service. Matt was a sincere pleasure to speak with, and has great customer relations. The area is awesome for lobster (Oarweeds for the best lobster roll ever) and shopping with scenic views of the bay. The room was charming, but the bathroom was rather small and needs some updating. The Abalonia was a good value for the price.

Very convenient location in Ogunquit

Posted Sep 24, 2016
Pros: Location is great Hotel and grounds are well maintained and constantly being updated, this year they added a kitchen for the guests to use.
Cons: Window air conditioners are noisey.
Location: Restaurants, bars and shops are all within easy walking distance. Best location if that is your desire.
Stayed at Abalonia many times over past 3 years. Very convenient location in center of town so that you can park your car and walk everywhere. This inn is best for those who enjoy well maintained older building. The rooms are good size and very quiet considering the age of the building.

Charming inn close to beach

Posted Aug 8, 2016
Pros: Staff, unbelievably warm, charming, helpful, accommodating.
Cons: Sound proofing stairs and between floors somehow.
Location: There is great shopping in the area, great food, AND THE BEACH.
I have never been met with more open, friendly, helpful staff in a hotel in my life and I have traveled all over the world, 5 star to no star. The Abalonia is a wonderful, old, seaside house. The grounds are lovely; there is even a pool in case the ocean is too cold. The inn itself is immaculate. There is air conditioning in each room. There is a small kitchen in the lobby that provides coffee, tea and muffins in the morning. The only drawbacks are out of the control of the innkeepers. The Abalonia in on Main Street, literally. During summer the area is very active until quite late at night. So, even with air conditioning it can be noisy. The old house is in very good repair, but it lacks the sound insulating aspects that modern construction provides, so if you have a noisy guest, a night owl, or altercating couple above you, you may not be able to enjoy your sleep. Getting up early in the morning, a short walk brings you to several places open for breakfast before 7am. Walk a bit farther and you are at the beach, a beautiful, long, gorgeous beach. All is forgiven.
