Great place for visit to Outhern Maine

We arrived at the Guest House at about 3pm and were greeted by the owners and our hists who were waiting outside. It almost felt lime they were waiting for our arrival. Michael gave us a brief tour of the house and some quick insights into some of the local attractions that we may want to see. Bill showed my wife our room while we were talking.
The room was very clean and nicely decirated, the guesthouse is well over 100 years old and while their are still a few signs of tbe antiquity of tbe dwelling, there are also the moderm amnenities a seasoned traveller would expect. The room was in tbe back of the hotel and quiet.
We were told That there was tea and cookies available 24 hours a day in the area ne t to the dining room. We ere told that breakfast each day woukd be between 8.00 and 10.00. The next day we were given a breKfast of blueberry pancakes, homemade blyeberry cake, lemon poppy seed cake, fresh fruit as well as juice and coffee. On the Sunday morning I had eggs benedict, while my wife was given scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. While the breakfast was very nicely prepared, the service was 50% of the experience. Michael and Bill were all too willing to make you feel like a guest, like you wre in their home, like you wre soecial and they would do whatever they could to please you.
Overall a really enjotable stay, and we left feeling like our hosts were friends and looked forward to coming back again.
