Thank you so much for letting us stay at your motel. the room was perfect for what we needed it for. it was a nice and peace full, we could see the ocean out of our window and also hear the ocean which made nights very relaxing. we will be back again for sure

Maine Holiday
Very comfortable "Old Maine" style. No a/c on hottest week of year, but the fans and sea breeze kept it comfortable. Provided beach chairs and toys. Had a covered porch, picnic tale and lounge chairs. There was an outdoor shower 20 feet from our porch to de-sand or cool ourselves. The lifeguard stand was 50 yards from the cottages. We walked into town for breakfast along the beach every day. There is a lobster pond an fish restaurant two doors down.. The trolley service went right by the complex. The refrigerator made ice faster than my home freezer. People were very friendly.

It was truly a place of peace and tranquility. The staff was welcoming and our place was spotless. We were steps to the beach. I highly recommend Moody’s!

What an Traumatizing Experience, Beware of Toxins
When we arrived at motel was welcomed. Room was rustic and bed was comfortable. Shower great water pressure. At 12:40 AM, I was awoken by a gaseous odor in which caused my heart beat to become fast and irregular along with shortness of breath. I got up and woke up my other half. We went outside and got into our car, where we could escape this gaseous odor. Within 5-10 mins., my heart rate started returning to normal, although still short of breath with difficulty breathing. My stomach was upset from this exposure to the point of dry heaving. My other half had a headache and sore throat and was nauseous. At 1:45 AM, I opened the car door in order to find out if the odor was gone. It was gone. We went back into the room and the odor was no longer detected. We went back to bed and within 60 mins., this same gaseous odor had started to resurface in the room. I started to have heart problems as before with the other symptoms as previously stated. I got up from bed and woke my other half. Went outside and started to dry heave. Got into car. Other half came out to car as well. Called 911 and by the time they arrived on scene, the odor had magically disappeared. The emergency personnel stated it was probably the marsh. We stated that marsh odor would not have caused the heart, pulmonary and neurological issues. We have been around other area marshes that have odors and did not get sick. Questionable what happened here. Hotels.com called owners, owners denied a refund. Stay away!!

I take my reviews very seriously, I feel bad that you had this bad experience although you never once came to the office to report this even though it was 60 feet away. I question why you never woke the people in the adjacent room if you were experiencing these symptoms.,after you called 911 the emergency personnel found No issues and said the building was all clear. when you checked in you told me you were displaced from your residence because of chemical issues maybe they were still on your clothes. This matter could of been handled differently if you had reported it to the office Immediately. We are here 24 hours a day. We have never had any issues of this kind before or after your stay... .

I had an amazing stay! The cottage was beautiful and clean, and the place is right on the beach! There’s an amazing seafood restaurant right next door.

Maine hospitality at it’s best
Comfortable across from a great beach. Has family accommodations plus single motel style rooms. Met people who have returned year after year. We will be back next year, too!

Possibly too early in the season...
The room smelt 'musty' as soon as we walked in. It was also freezing; and although we turned on the heat, it was minimal at best. Unfortunately, there was no mention that there were extra blankets in a drawer, which we stumbled upon the next morning. The room itself was a bit outdated with the furnishings. The upside is, is it across from the beach and the people who run it were extremely nice. My husband left his electric razor and they were kind enough to call right away before we were out of town. The property itself is pretty and well kept. It would be nice in the summer, I'm sure.
