Lack of sleep and a total carb breakfast.

It was a warm night so turned the AC on which was right beside the bed. Blew on back and so loud we couldnt sleep. Turned it off than it was too hot. The breakfast was nothing but a carb overload so had to go out for a breakfast. Very clean and friendly staff !!

Thank you for being our mutual guest at award winning Super 8 Vernon. Hotel. I apologize for the inconvenience about the air condition. Though we routinely check our AC's but still you had problem. We encourage you to contact our front desk staff who are 24 hours available for help. They could have set the AC to the settings to your satisfactions. For proteins in the breakfast we have hard boiled peeled eggs, variety of yogurts, oat meal, cereals along with fresh fruits other than Bagels, english muffins, toasts and fresh hot Belgian waffles.

Last year we completed our renovations inside out including rooms, aquatic areas, hospitality room and this year we renovated our breakfast area and exteriors. I apologize for the inconvenience about the air condition. Though we routinely check our AC's but still you had problem. We have 24 hours front desk staff for your convenience. In the breakfast we have hard boiled peeled eggs, variety of yogurts, oat meal, cereals along with fresh fruits, juices and bagels, english muffins, toasts and fresh hot Belgian waffles. We have 24 hours tea and coffee station operational. Hospitality room available for the groups at no extra cost, Indoor heated pool and hot tub for the relaxation of our valued guests.

Clean rooms, very comfortable beds. Our room was at the back over the hotel....it was very quiet. While the hallways are not renovated it seems that the rooms are renovated and nicely decorated. Large flat screen TV, good sized mini fridge with freezer and coffee maker. The included breakfast is also good....more of a Continental type but also offers waffles ( you make). All in all a good experience and we would stay there again. The staff are great and the rooms are very clean.

Charged me with $100+ without check-in.

We had problems with transportation which made us unable to check in at Super 8 Vernon. I called Super 8 to explain my situation and asked for a refund and if not possible, just charge me with cancellation fee. The staff insisted it is policy that my booking is non-refundable and blamed the policy on Expedia. I called Expedia a couple of days afterwards and the customer support staff called Super 8 to ask for refund or just charge me with cancellation fee but Super 8 wouldn't budge at all.

I understand your concern. The booking was non refundable. Therefore it was one night charge in case of no show. We encourage to make a booking that is 24 hours cancellation.

Beds are small for two people.

Pros: Continental breakfast
Cons: For two people, one large (king) bed in the room.
Location: On highway. Easy to find.
Was fine. Nothing exceptional. The Super 8 is as expected.

Loud people staff not companionate about issues

The staff of the hotel were very unprofessional. Hot tub was not maintained at all foam all over the floor pool was freezing cold. For the breakfast no one was over seeing the guests using the waffle machine all the guests would have to help them. Over all it was a terrible stay. I am now booking my own hotels as I can not rely on Expedia anymore

Horrible stay

I booked my room a day in advance. I was coming from Edmonton, AB to attend a funeral in Vernon, BC. I had to pay a debit deposit of $300, which I didn't mind. Me and my family checked in and unloaded our car and went to spend time with my sister-in-law (who lost her son). We spent a couple hours visiting and went back to our room. We called the front desk ti ask what time the swimming pool was open and the woman accused us of smoking in the room. I went to her personally and explained that we weren't even in the room. She continued to accuse us. When we checked out at about 9am the next morning, they refused to give me my full deposit for the room due to the smell of smoke. I told them the smell is from me (my clothes, hair) as I am a smoker but I smoked outside. I told them to review their cameras to show that we smoked outside and consult with a staff member who seen me smoking outside. They refused and only gave me $100 of the $300 deposit. The beds were so hard that we had very little sleep. I do not recommend this motel to anyone and feel that they took advantage of us. We will continue to fight to get our hard earned money back!

Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff

Location: Close to shopping and restaurants.
This hotel is very clean and comfortable for the price you pay. The staff are super nice and helpful, the pool area is clean and well kept. I would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay again.
