We had to spend a week in Lansing so we booked a suite. The area was great and hotel was within walking distance to shops and restaurants/cafes nearby. Really pretty breakfast room and lobby. Staff were very pleasant and there was always plenty of parking available. The only drawback was that the bed was hard which is what I have come to expect at many hotels unfortunately.
I really enjoyed my time in this hotel but I have to make mention of the breakfast items on offer. I had to spend three weeks travelling and we generally always book with Hampton Inns as we know what we are going to get as the quality is very controlled. But one thing I have noticed over the past year, is that the Hampton Inn breakfast menu's are becoming rather like McDonalds in that, you have the same choices at every Hampton Inn. This can become quite monotonous if you are travelling for a while. On the last night of our trip, we stayed with a Best Western Plus and were so excited at the change in breakfast options. When you have eaten breakfasts at Hampton Inns in three different states and yet they remain fairly much identical, it gets very uninspiring.
Other than that, I highly recommend a stay here as it is also close enough to East Lansing if you have business there.
