Very Happy

Pros: The pleasant aesthetics.
Cons: Change the breakfast menu more often.
Location: Close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. Larger businesses surround the sides and back of the hotel
We had to spend a week in Lansing so we booked a suite. The area was great and hotel was within walking distance to shops and restaurants/cafes nearby. Really pretty breakfast room and lobby. Staff were very pleasant and there was always plenty of parking available. The only drawback was that the bed was hard which is what I have come to expect at many hotels unfortunately. I really enjoyed my time in this hotel but I have to make mention of the breakfast items on offer. I had to spend three weeks travelling and we generally always book with Hampton Inns as we know what we are going to get as the quality is very controlled. But one thing I have noticed over the past year, is that the Hampton Inn breakfast menu's are becoming rather like McDonalds in that, you have the same choices at every Hampton Inn. This can become quite monotonous if you are travelling for a while. On the last night of our trip, we stayed with a Best Western Plus and were so excited at the change in breakfast options. When you have eaten breakfasts at Hampton Inns in three different states and yet they remain fairly much identical, it gets very uninspiring. Other than that, I highly recommend a stay here as it is also close enough to East Lansing if you have business there.

Happy camper!

As soon as we got into our room we got a phone call asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything! What other hotels do that?! Very comfy hotel. The front desk was super nice! They let us stay an hour after check out without over charging us. Our huge jacuzzi was nice, and very comfy bed and pillows. Yummy breakfast too! The hotel had such cute details to things. One of my best stays, will definitely be back next year!

Convenient, clean, beds leave a lot to be desired.

Beds were terribly uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping on a piece of plywood.

Had a two night stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Did not utilize room service after the first night's stay. Quite spacious.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very accommodating, for my husband and I especially Chuck and Joey (Joel). The breakfast was great. We will definitely return on every stay when we visit MSU.
