The room was okay. The fixtures, curtains, and linens were shabby but the room appeared to be clean. The most concerning part was the absence of many other vehicles or lodgers and also all of the broken glass, empty tiny liquor bottles, and trash in the parking lot by our entrance. It was spooky.
The worst hotel stay I have had in 31 years. Baymont is usually pretty nice. This is not a baymont it’s a days inn that they are marketing at baymont price. The room had yellow sheets, the door didn’t lock. No alarm clock in the room. Pay $20 bucks and stay somewhere else.
First there was broken car window glass in the packing lot right next to the entrance door (maybe bad area of town?). We were only in our room less then 30 min. When we found bed bugs on the head board of the bed and on one of the pillows. We had barely unpacked, so we packed up immediately and went to the front desk to let them know of the problem. I told the lady at the desk of the bed bugs and she offered us another room. I told her that we could not possibly stay in their hotel and that I wanted a full refund on the room we had booked. She said that I would have to get my refund from hotels.com, even though she is the one that charged my credit card for the room when we checked in. (I just wanted out of the place, but I wanted my refund also). I sat down and contacted hotels.com, my anxieties we ragging now and I started itching everywhere. The very cool and soothing voice on the phone helped calm me down somewhat, he said to hold on while he contacted the hotel, which I did. The desk phone rang three times, on the third ringing an older man came in to the desk and answered. The next thing I knew the young lady called to me to come to the desk and that she would help me with my refund. I couldn’t believe that I had to get a third person involved just to get the refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Fantastic front desk staff. Hotel is under renovations at the moment. The room was very nice. Comfortable bed and pillows, rare to find even now days.Only complaints would be that the room was VERY humid as not even the fan was running in the room. The A/C works wonderfully and cooled the room w/in an hour. The other complain is that the bathroom was very small, at least in the room we stayed in. I am 5’9” and it was difficult for me to each the shower head to adjust, had to get up on my toes. My daughter is 5’3” definitely needed help to avoid her standing on the side of the tub.The wall outlook was charred on the bottom plug which would mean that someone may have placed something metal into the outlet or something else happened. Overall I would stay here again.
This place is nothing like the pictures online. The pool looked like it hasn’t been used in years. We found all kinds of different things in our hotel room. The rooms were not clean and our door wouldn’t lock.
