My family and I were in town for a funeral. Since I knew it would be a very emotional couple of days, I decided to pay for the room for two nights online. I have been using hotels.com for a few years now and the process of payment was smooth and easy. Now to the service at the hotel. We arrived late on Wednesday night, checked in and immediately went to bed to rest. The next morning we woke early so that everyone would be able to have breakfast in the lobby and get to the memorial service. The management was in the dining hall, no big deal, but she cut in front of me to serve herself breakfast. I couldn't believe it. Manners much?! That afternoon everyone in the family was emotionally drained and needed rest so we took our two children and three of our nieces to the hotel pool. The kids and I had been swimming for less than 5 minutes when the same management personnel from that morning came to inform us that the children had to get out of the pool because it was against policy for anyone who was not a "resident" to use the pool. No where, and I mean NO WHERE, have I found the policy for this on any media connected to this particular hotel. I was even in the pool and my husband was in the pool area at that time. At that point I had had enough. We left and the management proceeded to tell us we wouldn't be able to get a refund for that night because we had already paid online. :( So if you want rude staff and cement pillows, this is the place for you!

Overall I can't complain. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in pretty good condition. The town it is in isn't the greatest but it's an OK small town. We went to visit family who live in the area and for that we will definitely stay again.
