I got a call from the property before I got there and they stated that the virtual card hadn’t went through. The rep told me to call Expedia and have them call the hotel about the virtual card. I chatted with Expedia through the chat line on my app and they were on the phone with the hotel in about five minutes. Once I checked in the hotel, I asked the rep has he received the email from Expedia. He stated that he had not received it yet, but it was not our fault and he was going to check us in anyway. Checking in about an hour or three later a charge of $90.33. Hit my credit card.. I didn’t understand why I was being charged for the room again because I had already paid through Expedia so when I checked out this morning, I let the rep at the desk know that I was charged double for the room. He told me up on my check out that a manager will call me about the double charge. About 10 o’clock I received a call from the manager stating that he would refund me back my $160 and some change. Wow you charge me $160 over when my room was already paid for through Expedia. I am asking why do they go into peoples accounts after we’ve already paid through Expedia and double charge the customers. This is never happened and I’ve been checking into this hotel for quite some time now. I really want to get this issue resolved in this not happening again. I do have a current reservation for the Hampton Inn on Friday and I hope this doesn’t happen.
