Check-in was easy, but receptionist very robotic, cold and unfriendly and not welcoming with very little eye-contact, seemed to not want us there. Other receptionist the next day also the same. I wonder if there is a personnel problem, poor pay, no training on how to treat guests? Competent but not people-oriented, sometimes bordering on hostile.
Our room was great—spacious, clean, comfortable bed, good light blocking to sleep, easy to use room AC, nice decor. Felt safe with good locks. There was no iron in room although there was an ironing board. There were some repairs needed to bathroom, mostly cosmetic though, not too bad. Shower worked fine. Hallways needed vacuuming. General neighborhood area was close to lots of stores and shopping in fine area.
Small—some would say tiny—indoor pool was quite cool, though water appeared clean, but the surrounding floor area and chairs/table were dirty, made space quite uninviting. Laundry for guests to use with quarters was a good idea, worked OK, but floor and general area was dirty as well and had trash on floor. Breakfast was adequate, had protein as well as carbs, no decaf coffee. Staff there was responsive to refill products but no verbal responses.
In general, the room made this a good stay, but the attitude of staff made this a place we are unlikely to use again.
