Old and used, but clean

Posted Oct 4, 2016
Pros: Cleanliness of room, and access to vehicle since we were on the south side, lower floor.
Cons: The stairwell to the second floor rooms (and ice machine) on the south building...several steps nothing short of dangerous.
Location: Although not nearby, we went to the OKC Memorial in downtown...it only took about 15 minutes one way using the cross town parkway
We stopped on a trip through OKC. We had made the reservation earlier and although we were a bit early, we were checked in. The room was clean and the bed while a bit hard, was comfortable. Only real issue was the ice machine was on the upper floor (all outside doors) and to access it I used a stairway that badly needs repair. Part of the concrete in the steps were gone leaving metal pieces that could trip you if you were carrying heavy suitcases and not paying attention. Breakfast was typical. We had a severe thunderstorm while there with heavy wind, some hail and torrential rain, but the hotel was fine. We parked immediately outside our door.

Affordable, clean, yet humid with a mildew smell.

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Pros: Location, breakfast, pleasant staff.
Cons: The humidity and the mildew smell of the room. Add a fan into the bathroom, and fix the bathroom door (we stayed in r. 224).
Location: Location is convenient—we came for a visit to the Art Museum. Across the street from the hotel is the White Water park.
The staff was pleasant—fast check in and check out. Breakfast was good: an assortment of cereals, bagels (with cream cheese and hard boiled eggs in the fridge), danishes; biscuits and gravy; an omelette station (some with cheese, some with ham) with fried potatoes and sausage links; a waffle maker with syrup and jams. There was also coffee and tea. Room was clean, but as soon as we got in, we noticed the humidity and the mildew smell. The air conditioner has been on, set at 70, and functioning on the Middle setting (there are Low, Middle, and High). We lowered the temperature, hoping it would dry out the room, but it never got to that point. As the result, we slept with the humming of the air conditioning. One big problem is that there is a vent, but no fan in the bathroom, so all the humidity stays in the room (even if you keep the door closed). Speaking of which, the bathroom door get stuck because of humidity (wood expands, proving it more difficult to open and close the door). This was the biggest inconvenience, hence the lower rating. The location is convenient, but is by the noisy Interstate 40 (we asked for rooms not facing the road, and had no problem). If you are here just for one night, and don't have allergies (which none of us did), this is a good option. We were a group of grad students, so were working with a budget. Ultimately, we would book a different place next time.

I forgot my favorite pillow in my hotel room from home and they were gracious enough to send it home to me I am eternally grateful. I had a terrible night's sleep at home until it arrived.

Passing through

Room smelled of mold so that needs to be fixed, but otherwise for a pit stop worked fine for our family.

Won't be staying at this location again...

The property was set up like a motel, you enter the room from the parking lot(Didn't know that before I booked). The room was small and the bathroom was small as well, the room also smelled like mildew and the air conditioner didn't work which sucked because its July and hot! luckily it had been raining and the temperature wasn't unbearable, but it was uncomfortable and humid which made the mildew smell worse. On the positive side, the bed was comfy and breakfast was decent... Cold, but decent.
