"Perfect location in old city!"
Hotel is small and friendly. Location is perfect in the old city. Plus 5 minute walk to metro station. The staff was eager to assist us with questions and knows the city well. Hotel is clean, well maintained and charming. Checking in was quick and easy. Typical continental style breakfast included. Coffee and tea anytime.

"Nice location "
The first room was a bit disappointing. There was mold in the shower, room not too clean, and some outlets did not work. I spoke to the front desk, and they moved us to a new room. Nice large suites, very quite, and great location.

"Very good hotel in great location "
We stayed here for about a week in late Summer. There are many pros: The location is unbeatable. The staff is very friendly. We liked our room a lot. The restaurant is great. There were two cons: The air is controlled centrally, so you can't control the desired temperature of your own room. While our room was well appointed and we loved the design, the house keeping was not strong. One of the lovely touches was chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room to welcome us. This was fantastic! However, the dish they arrived upon stayed in our room the whole week. The housekeeper never removed it. There was a fantastic jet tub in our room Again, this was a great pro. However, the tub was rarely cleaned even though I used it each day.

"L'Hotel Not To Be Missed"
If a classy hotel right in the center of Old Montreal is what your looking for well, look no more. The hotel has character, charm and a warm ambience. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The manager goes out of her way to make your stay very pleasant. Looking for tours, directions, recommendations, etc.? They will gladly help with that. Forgot your umbrella and it's raining? They will provide you with a large umbrella as well. The building is over a hundred years old but remodeled. The remodeling did not remove the old character and there are paintings throughout the hotel. We stayed in the Premiere room which is very spacious and the bath has a Jacuzzi that comes in handy after walking around exploring. You will appreciate all the old world architecture throughout Montreal. Many places to explore including the Museum of Fine Arts which currently (Aug) is showing Pompeii and it is a fantastic exhibit with original statues, jewelry and yes the cast molds of the people and animals that perished. It is really something not to be missed. Check their site to see how long the show runs. When we arrived our room was still being cleaned and the manager gladly offered us complimentary alcoholic beverages and free breakfast for waiting a few minutes. That's what you call AAA service. Your stay at the L'Hotel will be one you remember for years.

"Nice Hotel close to Old Town"
Very nice hotel, needs a fine tuning though. Room is nice and clean, but it did not have trash can under the sink. No soap for the shower, toilet paper is far from the toilet, bath towels are hanging far side of the bathroom. Did not have opaque curtain to shut the morning light. It was too bright in the morning. TV monitor was set tilted. But bedding was very nice and staff are friendly. I can see that they are trying very hard to make you feel comfortable. I will come back and stay it again.

"A trip back to the 1700's"
What a dramatic B&B! The room is majestic. It's almost like staying in a museum, The ceiling beams are original. One wall of the shower was stone from an old wall the rest is a rich looking green marble. The room is kept really well. The bed is large & comfortable. Benjamin Franklin was a friend of the original owner. The desk people are really helpful. Parrots provide color . There is a nice , airy courtyard for breakfasts (which are generous and delicious). You will feel right at home (if home was in 1760). Really wonderful & unique.
