Great Hotel in my Old HometownPosted Aug 22, 2015
Stayed at the Saybrook Point Inn for my 40th high school reunion. Many, many years ago I worked at the previous hotel on the site - the Terra Mar- and the Saybrook Point Inn is a more than worthy successor. The current owners have redeveloped the site with a beautiful hotel with an excellent staff. Its location is the best in Old Saybrook with great walks and bike rides right out the front door. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Quaint and spacious hotelPosted Oct 25, 2013
Location: We drove around Saybrook admiring the area, historic homes on the waterfront, and cool old graveyards. We went to nearby Essex for dinner at Griswold.
Our room was huge! Beautifully finished and clean too. The fireplace was a great feature for the cold evening and breakfast overlooking the boat docks was yummy! Night staff was very nice and attentive. Quite pleased with our stay

Outstanding experience at Saybrook Point InnPosted Sep 3, 2013
Location: Lots of things to do and see. Great location.
Our stay at the Saybrook Point Inn and Spa was outstanding. We could not have asked for anything more of our accommodations. The room was well appointed, our dining experience was excellent as was our time listening to the live music. I would highly recommend Saybrook Point Inn and will definetly plan a return visit.

Beautiful, comfortable resort. Staff was helpfulPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: The rooms and the amenities.
Cons: Restaurant is too pricey. More beach access.
Location: There is a mix of shops and antique stores in town. Good selection of restaurants; outlets nearby. Beach is very small.
Very relaxing and enjoyable. Would be wonderful anytime of year.

Romantic GetawayPosted Apr 1, 2013
Love this hotel! Fireplace and a waterview...what more could you ask for? Twenty minutes to great hiking trails or gambling. Great for a quick weekend getaway. We even saw a funny comedy show right in town at the Katherine Hepburn Theatre.

VERY EXPENSIVE but NicePosted Sep 26, 2012
Cons: The restaurant, Fresh Fish, is VERY expensive and everything is a la carte. Check the surrounding area for cheaper and better food like Dock & Dine.
Location: Be aware that you have to insist on a waterview if you want it. I booked 2 deluxe rooms, asked for water views, and got NONE!
The staff is pleasant and helpful and the resort is very clean and well maintained. There is not a lot to do in Old Saybrook but shopping outlets, Mystic village, and the Casinos are about 30 minutes away. The rooms are large and clean and there is an indoor salt water pool and jacuzzi and an outdoor heated pool. Fresh Fish, the resort's restaurant, is VERY pricy so explore the area for better alternatives. The Spa is excellent but again, be prepared to shell out the bucks for this service. A 40 min facial and a 25 min pedicure with 18% gratuity will cost you $200.00. The resort caters weddings on site so be prepared for a lot of activity on weekends. Parking is not a problem and there are 2 washers and 2 dryers ($2 per machine use) on site should you need to do laundry.
