Over priced just for the tattoo. Decor in room needed tidying up. Was not allowed in restaurant unless prebooked. Was not told anything on arrival that was the case. Offered an upgrade which we excepted to find we couldn't as couple beside had it after having a delay with reception staff.
Great place to stay if you're looking to be on the Royal mile for the fringe festival and old town. Grass market good area plenty pubs/food places. Hotel clean and tidy comfy beds good rooms. Easy check in good staff.
We arrived in Edinburgh after a long journey. While not yet time for check in, the hotel accomodated us and got our room early. Was able to nap in quiet comfort.

we had a room for three adults but the third room only had a camp bed in. This is ok for a child but not particularly so for a adult especially when one is 83. It was also only catered for 2 as we had to ask for extra coffee cups, pillows and towels. We were not given a discount for a third person ...
