Old school charm

Pros: Service from staff, little touches like refresh towels and welcome drinks etc. pick up (by foot) from train station.
Cons: Either improve the air con in single rooms or scrap the single rooms, way too small, way too hot.
Location: Right by train station and all transport, excellent location (but not near lakefront if that is your thing)
The staff are excellent, the single rooms very, very small and the air con produced a sauna, way too hot to sleep. This was dealt with well by the staff altho I still had to pay an upgrade fee to avoid sleeping in the tiny sauna room on the second night. My upgrade room was fine size and air con worked in it. This is the reason for the 4/5 rating. Beware that the food is very, very expensive but this is common in all Zurich, everything was pricey. Quality of breakfast and dinner food was high. Big up to Andi, a great concierge. Just opt for the bigger room and don't do the single room. Overall a lovely hotel with old school feel and charm.

Fantastic headquarters with courteous staff.

A great hotel that offers everything the visitor could want. Good breakfast and other food places for throughout the day. Location is excellent at the head of Bahnhofstrasse. Train station across the street. Double and triple-glazed windows seal out any noise. Staff and concierge excellent. Nice bathrooms and good room size. Highly recommended.

Great hotel with a great location.

Very friendly staff. The face cloth and orange juice on arrival was a nice touch. However the bed was too small. Fantastic breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit and a great omelette.
