Good hotel - centrally located in Riga old town.

Posted Oct 25, 2017
Pros: Nice modern room, excellent breakfast included
Cons: I thought the bed could have been more comfortable.
Location: Excellent location in the heart of Riga Old Town. Within walking distance of all main city attractions and pubs/night life.
Good hotel, excellent location, reasonable cost for the facilities and services. Staff very helpful and pleasant - I would be happy to stay here again when in Riga.

Location was ideal

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Pros: location, location, location
Location: lots and lots of sight seeing, and the people are so wonderful and kind
curtain didn't close completely so privacy was not as good as it could've been.

I wouldn't classify it a 5 star hotel, but you get a great location for the money. Great hotel staff. Overall great stay.

Nice location, but hotel starting to feel run down

Posted Aug 19, 2017 on Hotels
Great location right in the centre of the Old Town. Room overlooked square so was a little noisy. Had a mini balcony, but the two lower glass bars had broken, leaving a ~70cm gap! Perfect for a child to fall through. Breakfast was good and they kept the tables clear, but they were not that busy. One elevator not working for our while stay. Monitor in business centre not working - they knew this. Room service did not clean the carpet the first day and knocked at 5:30pm the next. TV not working properly. Overall got the feeling they were starting to let things slip.

Nice central hotel

Posted May 6, 2017
Pros: Great location - easy to reach all the old town sites in minutes. The free and excellent wifi in the bedrooms is marvellous.
Cons: If you are looking for peaceful uninterrupted sleep then you might be better off choosing a hotel outside the old town. The bars play music till late.
When Riga is cold and wet and you have walked miles, the hotel is a great comfort to return to. Lovely and warm and the rooms are a good size.

NOT A FIVE STAR. PLEASE DO NOT BE MISLED.

Posted Feb 9, 2017
Pros: NOTHING AND THAT'S A FIRST.
Cons: EVERYTHING.
Location: OLD TOWN
GOT FIVE STAR RATING 7 YEARS AGO. TODAY ITS A 1 STAR AT BEST. NO HOUSEKEEPING, NO HEATING IN WINTER, NO BASIC COURTESY FROM STAFF, NO WIFI, NO BREAKFAST AT 8 AM AS CONFIRMED ON BOOKING. WAIT AN HOUR AND "SOMETHING" APPEARS IN THE NAME OF BREAKFAST. EVERYTHING IS 'TECHNICAL PROBLEM' AND STAFF MAKES IT GUESTS PROBLEM. AVOID IT ALL COSTS. EVEN IF ITS FREE IS TOO MUCH WORK/STRESS FOR A HOLIDAY AN WORSE FOR A SHORT BUSINESS TRIP.
