A return visit
Happy to return to this hotel after stopping 10 years previous. Conveniently situated and with no traffic noise with a good restaurant so more than happy to eat here, The only let down was the cooked part of breakfast which wasnt that good. Would happily stay here again to see more of the region or when travelling to Denmark for instance.

Car park was decent.
My ratings for overall and service were through the bottom. I gave a neutral score for everything else because I never got to stay. I booked the hotel and they contacted me and told me that they wanted my residential address and that their check in times are 15:00 to 18:00, so if I would check in after that, I had to let them know. I did let them know that I would arrive around midnight. So I turned up after midnight, exhausted after a very long drive from Birmingham but there was no way in. So I had to sleep in my car. They refused to refund me despite making no effort to accommodate my travel plans.

Hidden gem
It was an unexpected gem on our (me and my two dogs) trip back to the UK. Very friendly and professional (covid-19). Arrived very late so no dinner experience. Judging from the very well laid out breakfast it should be great. The garden setting is a really nice place for any meal. With the river just a stroll away the surroundings are appealing and relaxing. I warmly recommend a stay here! Fan

The hotel is value for money for a business stay. Although I stayed there right after reopening, everything was organized. In the evening I had a meal in the restaurant and this was really good. The breakfast was average

Hotel with excellent restaurant and staff.
We had a very comfortable night here. The room is very plain and characterless, but comfortable and clean. The main attraction is the dining room, which on a Saturday evening, had a really good atmosphere as it was very busy. Despite the number of customers, the members of staff were very efficient and attentive and good natured. I don't know what they're paid, but they deserve more! We unfortunately had to leave early, so can't comment on breakfast - it doesn't start until 8.00a.m. at the weekend. And don't forget to look upwards as you walk into reception for a surprise!

I absolutely loved this place. I came here on a road trip and used it as a stop-over with my dog. Absolutely amazing service, very clean room, and delicious breakfast. Price for having the dog was reasonable as was the breakfast price. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Nice pleasant atmosphere , very "clean and bright" the beds could do with re-design as they are basically a box with a mattress on top, but otherwise and excellent stay, staff very helpful and the restaurant should have a Michelin star !!

Good standard hotel
Standard room but with everything we needed. Did not have fridge/freezer but they kept our cooler for us during the night. Breakfast buffet was good (they did not fill up on bread but had amazing chocolate spread bar).

Quiet stay nice food served in the garden
A very good quiet hotel, with a good location next to Main Highway No1, we used it as a rest place when we travelled by car from Denmark to Paris, the staff were good the food excellent same as the weather and late dinner in the garden. Will defiantly use the hotel next time again

Comfortable stopover
A pleasant hotel with helpful staff. If you want to sleep late, take a room at the back. The car park is used in the morning for the local schools. Try the restaurant, their food is good.

A great place to stay
Beautiful hotel in a quaint little town. We needed two rooms for the five of us but there was ample space. The Main Street was an easy walk from the hotel.

Close to shops and parkland
Cycling stopover , shops five minute walk right , park was walk left . Cycled around country side 70 miles in safty , view were beautiful and traffic was minimal , staff and hotel are great.😊

excellant location, near the autobahn.
Was an excellent location near the Autobahn. We used it as a stopover on our way south. The room did not have AC and was quite warm. The bedding was a bit heavy for the season. Had an excellent dinner in the dining room. good service and good food. would recommend for its location.

High quality room for a very reasonable price,
We stayed here on our way back to the UK from Denmark. Overall, we were very pleased and had a good dinner there. Unfortunately, the weather was shocking, but the quality of the room and food helped to make our brief stay there a pleasant and enjoyable one.

Friendly welcome and a comfortable room at a good price. Excellent meal in the restaurant with a seasonal asparagus menu if needed. Good value easy walk to local town.

Hotel could have been fine, however the restaurant was closed due to a Birthday party and therefore all night, until 2am, horrible music was playing and doors, drunk people could be heard until early in the morning. Shame. You could hear the front door being closed while in our room.

Just 2 minutes from the highway, the hotel is spacious and in good grounds including an area of rough pasture which is convenient for exercising dogs. The staff are dog friendly. The bar-restaurant is good with wholesome food and good beer. .Recommended for long distance travelers through north west Germany, especially those with dogs.

Excellent Hotel
We had the triple room with two persons. Everything was excellent and the restaurant served dinner and the breakfast buffet for 8 euros was very value for Europe. The only negative is that there is no lift, but the desk clerk helped take the luggage up to our room. This place is a gem.

Night stop over
Stopped overnight on a journey from Calais to Denmark so found this hotel in an ideal position not far off the motorway and about two thirds into the journey. Restaurant good value and the room was very clean and well equipped though the TV was a small portable. Friendly welcome and quiet surroundings with only a problem accessing the wifi to report. Overall we would definately return if in the area or doing a similar journey.

The hotel is great,as long as you do not need to interface with the business manager. She is quite a piece of wor& and will be the reason for me not to go back.
