Clean, friendly and good for lone travellers!

Posted Dec 6, 2017
Pros: The staff were friendly and reassuring. The quirky design and LED lights were something that I adored.
Location: The hotel was just a 20 minute walk to the central of Florence and the train station. Very handy!
This was my first time travelling abroad by myself so I was very nervous. I stayed for 4 nights. However I felt at ease as soon as I walked into the hotel. The staff were attentive and helpful, there was always someone at the reception desk. The room was clean with lots of interesting features such as the LED lights, full length mirrors everywhere and the glass shower opposite a full length mirror! Breakfast buffet was enjoyable. Some people may say the buffet is average but I have severe food allergies so it was good to pick out my own food. Also if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florence this hotel is in a quiet location but not secluded. Have a nice stroll down the Arno river! I would stay again. :)

First time in Florence

Posted Dec 4, 2017
We requested three beds, two twins and a full size. Apparently, there was some confusion because the reservation said for 2 adults instead of 3. We had to pay additional $30 euro per night for the extra person. When we got to the room, we had one twin and one full size. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and in between some tiles. Good breakfast. Close to bus stop. Cool concept with some bathroom renovations would be better!

Dear Mrs Erika, Thank you for leaving your personal opinion about your stay at our UNA Hotel Vittoria. As you wrote your reservation was for one double room for 2 people. At the moment of the check-in we satisfy your request and we put the extra bed for the third person. UNA Hotels strongly believes in design, this is the reason why the hotels of our company are subject to fixed maintenance works, with important and continuous investments. Even if we don't have any planned work in UNA Hotel Vittoria at the moment, your signal review is really appreciated and it'll be useful to value future UNA Hotels' maintenance works. Besides the cleanliness and hygiene is a priority in UNA Hotels. The rooms are cleaned by a specialized staff and our housekeeper occurs every day the standard of cleaning, just to ensure maximum cleanliness. I'm glad that you enjoyed the service of breakfast and the original style of the hotel. Despite the partially positive review i hope to see you again for a next trip in Florence. I send you my best regards. Francesco Marzola General Manager

A little out of the city centre but on the main bus route. A fantastic bakery just outside the hotel.

Unusual and unique

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: Décor, hotel bar, all the staff and the area around the hotel.
Cons: Better selection for breakfast, focus on fresh and clean bed sheets.
Location: Located on south bank of the Arno, 20-25 min walk from all main attractions on the north side. Area itself has a fair good few places to eat and drink
We stayed in UNA Hotel Vittoria for 3 nights in October 2017 as part of our honeymoon. We were well received by the hotel staff who were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel, which has a very traditional country villa look from the outside, obviously prides itself on its modernistic décor on the inside. Some of the amenities in the room (lights, shower) are very unusual, which is not unpleasant as long as you keep an open mind! Location is OK, about 25 min walk to city centre, and the area itself has a few trendy places to eat and drink. Breakfast is not bad, could do with a bigger selection, but overall the quality was good. The hotel has a lovely bar area which was a nice place for a pre-meal drink served by an attentive staff member. Only downside of our stay was that we encountered a few bed bugs one night which left a few bites in the morning... We didn't make a big deal of it, just asked for the sheets to be changed and the problem was over. Perhaps they should focus less on being eco-friendly and just wash the sheets a bit hotter! :) Nevertheless, the hotel is well worth its 4-stars and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Florence for a few days.

Nice hotel. Breakfast needs improving

Posted Oct 28, 2017 on Hotels
3rd time at this hotel. We like it because it’s in a quiet area on the other side of Arno. Helpful staff and nice rooms. Breakfast was perhaps too basic and they could have more variety of fresh fruit, breads and pastries and eggs to order included in the price.

Loved the staff, location, setting

Posted Oct 21, 2017
Pros: Firm mattress on the bed made sleeping especially easier transition. Great staff. Quick responses when anything went wrong in the room.
Location: Wonderful restaurants, easy walks,
Started each day with a great breakfast and happy, helpful staff. Got a cab whenever we needed it, accurate directions and special assistance (calls) when we lost a phone. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms seemed a little larger than European hotels we have stayed in. The bathtub/shower took a little maneuvering (one member of the party is over 75) but as long as you are able to step up and watch as you step down, the shower had great pressure and settings. Truly appreciated the quiet inside and outside around the hotel. The restaurants nearby are wonderful and we found some hidden gems. Easy walk to the hub of the city - even tried taking the bus which was easy as well with a stop less than 2 blocks from the hotel.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel itself is not new and there are some improvements needed. For example, the bathtub in the room I had needs repair or replacement and the power outlets did not initially work, so had to call for repair. I already new and was fine with the distance to the center, but be aware that it really is a bit of a walk from the city center to the hotel. However the staff at the hotel made up for the few issues.

1980's Chic

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: The staff The buffet breakfast The mini Bar The most comfortable king-sized bed ever!
Cons: Decor could do with an update
Location: It's a good 20-25 minute walk to the city centre
We visited Florence on a 5 day city break. The hotel is a little far from all the historical sights but we are noty afraid to walk. The Hotel facilities were excellent but the 1980's freakish decor is looking a biut tired & dated. The staff could not have been more helpful We hired a car and the safe underground car parking at the hotel was essential but 20 euros a day was quite steep.
