1980's Chic

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: The staff The buffet breakfast The mini Bar The most comfortable king-sized bed ever!
Cons: Decor could do with an update
Location: It's a good 20-25 minute walk to the city centre
We visited Florence on a 5 day city break. The hotel is a little far from all the historical sights but we are noty afraid to walk. The Hotel facilities were excellent but the 1980's freakish decor is looking a biut tired & dated. The staff could not have been more helpful We hired a car and the safe underground car parking at the hotel was essential but 20 euros a day was quite steep.

Modernistic hotel in private location

Posted Sep 27, 2017
Pros: Very helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Hotel did have an elevator. Location was private and good.
Cons: Room lighting system did not work on two occasions. Room lighting system was difficult to use even when working. Room was small.
Location: Close to train station, river Arno, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazzale Michelangelo. Longer walk to Duomo, David, and other near by sites.
This is a very modernistic European style hotel. The included breakfast was excellent and could be taken in an outside garden. The staff was very helpful. We had arrived late on our first day due to travel delays and the kitchen staff stayed open past closing so we could eat.

Overall good experience

Posted Sep 26, 2017
A touch off the beaten path but you should expect to do a lot of walking anyways. Only 10 or 15 minute walk to the train and about 20'min to central Florence. Would stay again!

good location, you can walk to the centre of the c

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: The staff were very nice, and the hotel was clean
Cons: The food, and a shower curtain would be a good idea, we are not exhibitionists
Did not like the shower, We are not exhibitionist's, the full glass screen is in the entrance to the room, not only that but there is a full length wall mirror opposite which means anyone can see you clearly from your room, and if any one opens the door to room service and you are in the shower, they can see you very clearly, I had to send my husband out of the room while I had a shower, I am not shy but there are some things better not seen between husband and wife. the only other thing that is bad about the hotel is the food, my husband and I were tired and decided to eat in on Sunday evening, the food was totally dreadful, I ordered soup, a bowl of mashed bread and soup arrived, I was told this was Tuscan soup, it had no taste of tomatoes or anything, the waiter gave me some parmesan cheese to put on top, My husband ordered tomato and mozzarella, two great big balls of cheese arrived as big as a tennis ball, with tiny tomatoes, then the main course arrived, I ordered sea bream, I had to ask what vegetables came with this, it came with uncooked soggy chips that were covered in a swimming amount of olive oil, the fish was half raw and I had to ask for it to be cooked again, 15 min later it arrived, it was now seriously overcooked, I had to eat it as there was nothing else to eat and we were too tired to go to another restaurant, I ordered a desert, I never order deserts but I was so hunger, I ordered a cheesecake, I told my husband it would be hard to mess this up- WRONG

Dear Mrs Michelle, I would like to thank you for having spent some of your time to leave a comment about your stay at UNA Hotel Vittoria. We read with attention the reviews of our guests: they are useful to understand in which features we can improve. I'm sorry to read that you didn't appreciate the style of the shower in your room. At the moment of the reservation or at check-in, upon availability, you can ask to have a shower with mat glass. Our staff is always at disposal of our guests to assure them the maximum comfort. I'm disappointed about your negative feedback of the experience at our UNA restaurant. Our menu provides a range of traditional tuscany dishes prepared by our chef with typical and fresh products. We're glad that you appreciated the professionality of our staff and i hope to welcome you again at our UNA Hotel Vittoria to demonstrate you the quality of our services. I send you my best regards. Nice hotel, close to the center

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: The staff, and breaksfast service.
Cons: Distribution of the room (the layout). It has a lot of wasted space between the closet and the bathroom.
Location: It's somewhat close to Ponte Vecchio, and from there, it's really easy to navigate through Florence.
Its located 2km (a little over 1 mile) from Ponte Vecchio, so it's not that far, but with August weather, it was certaintly challenging! The hotel staff was incredibly nice, and helped us with everything. One day we left for a tour at 6:45 a.m., so they prepared a breakfast box for us, without even been asked. The breakfast was really good, including hot meals, breads, fruits, and great juices. The rooms are small, and very narrow, but overall clean, and pleasant. The air conditioning was very cold, and they couldn't fix it, so they provided a blanket, and it was fine.

Convenient for visiting sites in Florence

Posted Sep 10, 2017
Pros: All the facilities were conveniently located. The room was comfortable. It was nice to come back in the evening and have a pleasant drink.
Location: The hotel is not far from Chiesa del Carmine, then Piazza Santo Spirito, and Piazza del Pitti, which takes you to Ponte Vecchio, or the Boboli Gardens
The hotel is set back about 100m from the local main road so very peaceful. Buses run on the local main road given a convenient means of getting to the Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace, etc. and the main Railway Station in the piazza of Santa Maria Novella. It is not far from the Arno, so if a 30 minute walk is okay, there is a quick route to a riverside pathway taking one to the Ponte Vecchio.
