nice location, close to trails and slopes in winte

Posted Aug 14, 2017
Pros: location
Cons: service
Location: nice mountain trail- difficult 3 hr hiking but rewarding at the end with beautiful lake and tran you could take down the mountain for free.
Hotel is quite old so floors are shaky in the hallway and also carpet smells. Rooms are nicely equipped with kitchens but not so clean. I had dust on the night stand for the entire week since I got there and cleaning stuff never cleaned it and I am allergic to dust. AC does not work and I was told it cools off at night so I can have the windows opened. however, room on 2 level is directly facing tennis courts so people playing and passing by can literally see you and talk to you through the opened window face to face. So much for privacy, although we did not have that many playing tennis- thanks God. Very noisy at night , again old floors , thin walls you can hear everything someone is doing above your floor. We had guest who arrived at night did heavy walking and shutting the doors in every cabinet including the entry door until 2 AM. really disturbing. Then there was cold water towards the end of stay for 3 days getting colder and finally on the last morning before leaving I could not take a shower- ice cold water. I guess they turned off boiler to save energy. We had no electricity for 20 min during the day and they said they knew it was going to happen but no one told us ahead of time. Overall, I will look for another hotel next time.

Thank you for noticing our great location. I am sorry you had other experience that were not enjoyably. I do hope you reached out the Front Desk to help you with the night time noise. We are more than happy to assure that it stops. The same with your cleanliness concern. We are always happy to take care of an issue.

Cons: Add cool air conditioning to the rooms.
We enjoyed staying at the Squaw Valley Lodge. Overall the service and parking space availability were great. The main thing we recommend would be to add air conditioning to make staying in the rooms more pleasant and comfortable during summer. Also offering a simple continental breakfast would be appreciated.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Squaw Valley Lodge! Although we do not have a full service kitchen for continental breakfast we do offer complimentary coffee in the lobby and can give some great recommendations for breakfast in The Village. We also understand it can get warmer in the summer and would be more than happy to provide you with an extra fan during your next stay. Unfortunately we do not have air conditioning, which is common for North Lake Tahoe, as we only have a handful of hot days out of the year but this is an issue that has been brought to management's attention to see what we can do to accommodate our guests better. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to having you again!

Pros: pool/multiple jacuzzis, rooms, coffee in lobby, kitchenette, proximity to restaurants and why 80
Cons: continental breakfast, bike rentals
Ice machine slightly inconvenient but that's all I have:) we had to check out at the crack of dawn but they let us return later and use the facility!

Great property a short walk from the ski lifts

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: One night, all night, there was a strange, loud, bubbling noise from some of the plumbing. I never figured out if it was the jacuzzi or a drain pipe.
We had a great time here. The suite was very clean and nice. The pool and jacuzzi area were beautiful. The gym was nice, and the people working there were, too.

Great Location, Good Hotel, some caveats

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: Amenities were good, room was well-furnished and reasonably comfortable.
Cons: Increase knowledge of hotel staff. Prevent patrons from blocking the throughways in the parking garage. Wi-Fi had minimal throughput.
Location: About 5 miles from Lake Tahoe. There was skiing available in July for those interested. River rafting available within a few miles too.
While I liked the facilities a lot and would stay here again, I was somewhat unhappy with the staff's unwillingness to return phone calls, inflexibility, and lack of knowledge about their own room options and amenities. Granted, it was one of the busiest times of the year for this facility, I am sure, but with their already later than usual check in time of 4pm, they were unwilling to allow me early check in. However, another guest checking in at the same time was allowed this flexibility because their room happened to be ready. The reason my room was not available yet? I had called early in the morning, just after 6am, to make sure they were going to put synthetic bedding in the room. The person who assisted me couldn't even tell me if they had down bedding as an option, and promised I would receive a return phone call from someone who knew more. I did not, so they had to redo my room once I arrived. Otherwise the facility was pleasant and comfortable, though the problems I encountered make me question the rates we paid. I expected better. Still, I would stay here again. This may have been a fluke due to the overcrowded week.

Great family stay

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Perfect Memorial Day weekend away. Very spacious, quiet 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo. So close to Village shops and restaurants. Full kitchen was very clean. Safe covered parking. Room temperature was a little hard to control. But overall, a perfect family place to stay. Would come back again.

Excellent location

Posted May 30, 2017
Pros: Location. Room cleanliness.
Cons: None
The location is perfect. We got the 1 bedroom condo for 4 people. It was perfect. We were lucky to get a room that was on the ground floor and right next to the door to the lift. Would definitely rent again with this resort.

Great Spring SKIING. Perfect location.

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Location. Out of the main village area, so it is quieter.
Cons: looks like you all need to remodel.
Location: SQUAW. Ski, board hike.....
My reservation was lost between Expedia and the Lodge. the front desk staff recovered the information and got everything corrected. the rooms are older and smaller than the Village. the location is great, you can walk everywhere in the area.
