Okay but not again

The hallway carpets had stains and I felt the bathroom was dirty. The pool went from 3-9 foot which is ok for adults but with my 3 small children it was at times tough. The breakfast buffet was nice (and free) but with limited spacing and unlike the in room description you can not order off a menu.

Pros: 1) entrance, it is very nice & grand, until you climb the stairs 2) close to a walking trail 3) excellent breakfast buffet 4) friendly staff
Cons: 1) update carpet in the whole place (make it so kids can walk barefooted) 2) have working air conditioning 3) update computer - it is 2016

Pictures make this hotel look new & inviting. However, the hotel is tired & worn. I'm a little worried about the state of the other hotels in the area, if this hotel received an award in 2015... They must be falling apart, if this one is a winner. Rooms were fair & clean, although wallpaper was peeling & carpet in the hallway stained. I didn't feel uncomfortable using the room, however, my boss, whom I was traveling with, was afraid to use the elevator. Don't trouble yourself with the 2003 windows XP computer/printer in the hotel lobby. No one has bothered to add adobe reader, so you can not print out plane boarding passes. (or anything else for that matter) Good point's: 1) if you are traveling with kids, pool is a decent size; 2) breakfast buffet is actually a plus - get to make your own waffles. 3) staff is friendly 4) there is a restaurant in the hotel 5) themed hotel, instead of a chain. This hotel has potential to be a four star, if it just can update to look like the photos.

Horrible Experience

This hotel is NOT a 3 star and as matter of fact it has several serious problems. First we were assigned to a room with "electrica issues" (their words). However the sheers that cover the window had a 10" rip in it. As well as many other things. The hotel asked that we come to the office when we got back. They moved ua to another room that the TV didn't even work in and the next day we reported that. We should have received a refund. I need much more room to tell you about it. I am rather worried for the safety of travelers to this so called 3 star hotel. Bogus!

Nice hotel in a very quiet location

Pros: The price and the location.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location was ideal
Was a pleasurable experience. Could not beat the price. Was able to get downtown in a reasonable amount of time.

Omaha quaint hotel

Better than other hotels within 3 radius miles. I like the lodge ambience. Bedding cotton grade was poor. Bed spreads were pilfered. It needs an overhaul in the decorations department. Everything is outdated. If you want no frills no thrills, then this is a comfy, safe place.

Terrible conditions and snarky staff

Room smelled of wet dog and found what looked to be a bed bug carcass in the bed right off the bat. TV was an older tube style which was fine but the non working remote was not. Received my receipt for checkout and charges were wrong. Front desk agent was rude and snarky about it. I will never stay here again even if it is the only place left in town.
