Central Hotel for Athens

Posted Nov 26, 2017
Generally this is a fairly average hotel in the centre of Athens close to the Omonia district. There are a number of points you need to consider before booking. 1. There are no double rooms contrary to what is stated on their web site 2. The bathroom is very small and the bathroom that we had with respect to the shower door over the bath would only allow a slim person to gain entry as the gap between it and the wall was very narrow. 3. The water in the mini bar is not free. There is no mention of this - beware 4. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room 5. There is no facility to rent movies in a English or any othe language. 6. The Choices of stations in English is very limited Having said this the staff were helpful and pleasent

Nice Hotel

Posted Oct 25, 2017
Pros: liked the roof top restaurant with that fantastic view the best
Cons: room size
Location: very close to Syntagma square where you can see the tomb of the unknown soldiers and the Evzone soldiers who honor and pay respect to fallen heroes.
Breakfast was very good. Room with 3 twin beds was a bit small for 3 women. Hotel clean and modern. Closer to Syntagma Square than the Acropolis area. Beautiful view of the Parthenon at night from the roof top restaurant/bar.

Great Location...an In-Room View of the Acropolis

Posted Oct 6, 2017
Pros: Location; cleanliness of room; complimentary breakfast
Cons: Check-in delays could be addressed.
Location: About two blocks to the Metro so easy to reach the city's historical sites.
We were assigned a room on the 9th floor. It had a balcony which provided a terrific view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Rooms are well maintained and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nourishing complimentary breakfast. This hotel is located in the business district of the City. The Metro is a short walk away...so easy to reach the main historical sites throughout the City. (The Acropolis is just two stops away on the Metro.) Also within a short walk, is the Parliament Buildings to watch the hourly Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Close to a large park area and a children's library if you have youngsters travelling with you. Close to excellent restaurants and shopping. Certainly would stay at this hotel again. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g189400-d228891-r530274127-Titania_Hotel-Athens_Attica.html#

Stayed at the Titania

Posted Sep 24, 2017 on Hotels
Bright and very large reception area. It caters to tour groups as well as couples family etc.., however check in was professional and efficient. The front desk staff are very busy, but they are helpful and friendly. I arrived n a Sunday evening so it was quiet. Rate the room on the 4th floor = poor. It was dark, very dark, you needed a flashlight if you dropped anything on the floor. It definitely needs brighter bulbs and view out of the window was of the airshaft, and the pigeons liked the ledge. Best was the bed, extremely comfortable and the shower pressure & hot water I rate a 10. Wi Fi worked on my cell phone, but would not connect on the lap top ?????

Lovely staff, renovated rooms

Posted Sep 9, 2017 on Wotif
We arrived after a massive day of travel and were greeted by an amazing man on reception desk who upgraded our room to a beautiful newly renovated room. Comfiest beds, best shower and wifi we had on our whole trip. Would definitely recommend. Great value for the price
