Bizarre and Hostile Staff.

I was traveling with my girlfriend. We wanted something that was close to Mt. Baldy because were going to be doing a hike the next morning. We found this hotel and stayed here because of the great reviews. I'm not sure if the reviews are because of the price, but it was the most disappointing hotel I've ever booked through Expedia.
I walked into the main lobby with my girlfriend to check in. I was the one checking in so I presented ID and credit card. Then the girl at the from desk asked for ID from my girlfriend too. I've never been asked this before and I've stayed at many hotels and motels across the country. I asked the girl if this was necessary and she backed off and said that it wasn't but she couldn't give me a second room key if we didn't show another ID. It was truly bizarre and left and awful first impression.
The room was fine, but the beds were not that comfortable. I think they use some kind of cheap memory foam mattresses and make them out to see super luxurious. I could be wrong, but I didn't think it was that great. The "free breakfast" was the bare minimum. I had an apple and some coffee. It was nice to have something in my belly before I hit the road, but the food was very mediocre. Don't expect to get full off of it.
Our room door frame had a hole in it that was covered with duct tape. I took a picture in case this place tried to charge me for it.
I'm mostly disappointed with the reviews here. It was a really mediocre place with mediocre staff.
