Had to stand in line at check out to pay a tax..

Posted Jul 11, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: the breajkfast was okay... no watermeon.. otherwise good selections... but, not all that tasty...
Cons: The hotel should keep sufficient change on hand to help the guests feed those parking meters...\ Need a change in procdedure to collect the 14 Kunas
Location: okay..
Had to stand in line at check out to pay an idiot 14 Kuna tax... There is NO parking at the hotel... and you have to pay a meter to park on the street... And the hotel was unwilling and unable to provide sufficient coins to put in the parking ticket machine...

It would be useful to have 2 caffe bar (1 in the lobby and 1 on the terrace) simultanously.

Fabulous hotel close to the boardwalk and downtown

Pros: Modern, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, accomodating staff, many amenties i.e. pool, sauna, very good price
Cons: nothing
Location: promenade right in front of hotel, beautiful walk to town and restaurants
This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed at. The staff were very accomodating, answering my many questions, allowing me to use their phone in the lobby to resolve a reservation problem with another hotel, let us check in early. Breakfast was exceptional, bed very comfortable, very modern room. Swimming pool, sauna etc. were an amazing bonus. Very reasonably priced

Near city centre. A nice big hotel. No air conditioning during this time of the year for our stay. A bit noisy when opening the window. Beautiful seaview. Bed a bit sagging. Good service.

Fantastic Stay!

I've stayed in Opatija a few times and this is by far the best hotel i've stayed at. Amazing view (pay the few extra dollars for sea view room), great service, walking distance to lots of amenities. The pool/spa area is fantastic and it may be the most elaborate "included breakfast" i've ever seen. Usually most hotel breakfast options in Europe is some toast and coffee, but this was just massive with well over 50 things to choose from. Omelet station, freshly made crepes, actual huge piece of ham you can cut slices off yourself, the options and quality of food actually put me in mind of what you'd see at a buffet in 5 star Caribbean resort. Seriously if you're thinking of staying in the northern coastal area of Croatia, don't bother shopping around, just stay here!
