Make sure you get what you booked.
The hotel is well situated within walking distance of everything. Parking is very close by but also very expensive. The sea view is nice. The hotel doesn't have a pool or beach but you can use the facilities from the one next door although you do have to pay for the sun loungers on the "beach" The one thing that I did NOT like is that if you book a superior twin with sea view which is supposed to have 2 single beds and a double sofa bed, you should not get a double room with a queen sized bed a a single sofa bed. Also the room was next to reception, the baggage room and not only tiny but very noisy. Make sure you get what you book. Although it's with half board we ate out for diner.

New 2018 Lungomare Opatija
I was not impressed with hardly anything at the Lungomare Opatija. Our instructions from booking.com told us to check in next door at the Remisens Hotel Kristal, which was incorrect, but I wish I’d have just stayed there instead. There was some “new” updates to the hotel room but what was not updated was quite obvious by comparison and looked dingy and even dirty. The photos do not represent what the room really looks like, IMO, and they clearly need a paint job and some freshening up. You must pay to park for approximately $25 USD per 24 hour period at a parking garage nearby. Swimming at the beach or the pool is next door at the Remisens hotel so you must then pay for a lounge charge and umbrella $10. I even had to go there to get help opening my bottle of wine because they had no wine opener in the restaurant. The waitress even gave me a difficult time getting ice and a container at this hotel and was not very friendly about it. We did enjoy the breakfast, which was ample and fresh.
