We booked the 5-person room for out family of five. The best aspect of this hotel is the 2-level spacious room with 4 beds (one double bed and one single bed on the main level, and two single beds in the loft). Getting to the room requires climbing 3 flights of narrow stairs with no elevator. There's a shower and toilet en-suite: you enter through the shower room, and then the toilet is above in the loft. The room also has two tables with chairs (one on the main level and one in the loft) and some closet space in the main level, but otherwise it's fairly basic. There's no air conditioning, and just one big window; to get a breeze we had to keep the bathroom windows and doors open. The room was clean but somewhat decrepit (peeling paint, cracked floor tiles); the bedding was OK but not too comfortable.
The location is very good. The hotel is just a few steps from the Anvers metro station, and two blocks away from the bottom of the park that leads up to the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur. These two blocks are lined with souvenir shops and various restaurants, though we preferred the restaurants near the Abbesses metro station, about 500m away. There are several supermarkets within a few blocks on Rue d'Orsel. The hotel is also a convenient 1km walk from Gare du Nord, though it's mostly uphill from the station to the hotel. The neighborhood itself feels safe.
Overall we liked the hotel for its value, room space, and location.
