Friendly staff. Simple but clean accommodations. Excellent proximity to Nord, Est and St Laverne train station as well as several metro lines. Very nice breakfast.

From Expedia, ApplicationThis hotel offers parking availability, but there is no parking available at all, if you find a spot on the street, that's it. once I had my car Parked up front on the street at 2 am When we got there, the manager told us that we needed to move our car before 6 am or we will be fined by the city. But he also said to us that outsiders may break the windows in our car and steal if we had values inside the car. After those comments, my wife & I decided to run away from that scary place. Don't go there if you drive or if you don't. Also, the elevator fits only one person with one suitcase, it is so tyne. If you are sleeping on the 6th floor you have to walk up with your suitcases from 5th floor. It was our case. We decided to leave this place. The manager before letting us go, charged one more night after it was already paid for two nights via Expedia. We think Places like this should not be allowed to be in Expedia. Such a great Application should verify better before accepting places like this. We don't recommend this place at all. On top of that, if you have the chance to see a brochure of this hotel, like the ones they offer there, you may think that you will be getting to an excellent place. but believe us, this place is not.

Hello Juan. We never had any Parking facilities next to the hotel , it is mentionned on Expedia that there is a Public Parking nearby or that you can park your car on the side of the street which is not for free of course. The Night Receptionnist just gave you some advise in not letting any visible things in the car to avoid that someone breaks in- This can happen in every big City and he wanted to be nice and just let you know.The Manager was not on duty at 2 am, but the Receptionnist did the right thing and charged you 1 night, Expedia did not charge ANYTHING in advance, we do not have that type of Contract with them!!! So the only thing you paid for is 1 night and nothing more. Regards, Caroline

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went over and beyond our expectation filling our special needs. The location was great, within short walking distance of several metro stations. We plan to stay there again on our next trip

Well located
The hotel is well placed for access to the Gare du Nord and local cafes and restaurants. The room was comfortable however there is minimal noise insulation between the rooms so that a noisy neighbour can cause problems.

The Residence is in a strategic and silent position. The structure is not modern but it is equipped with everything you need. The staff are very helpful and kind.

Although our room was a bit dated with carpet and the other rooms had tile we had a great experience. The hotel staff was attentive when cleaning to spite the explosion that was all of our stuff. They had great recommendations for food and were just very pleasant to deal with. The room was a great deal and bigger than our previous room in Paris. If we get to go back we will definitely stay here again!!!

Good Paris hotel. Location perfect for Gare du Nord/Metro. Typical miniscule lift so travel light or be prepared to take several trips with your luggage! Some nice places to eat nearby.

A well run hotel with great staff. The location is near the Poissonniere metro stop which gives a direct line the the Louvre and river tourist area. The smaller rooms on the 6th floor are tidy and comfortable, great for younger Paris tourists on a budget. We've stayed here twice, 8 years apart, and the experience has been positive both times.

A great hotel perfect for a short-break. Stayed here for two nights and the room was great for a bed to sleep in. Very spacious and comfortable, good size bathroom too. Lift was VERY small, struggled to fit two people in (without luggage). Staircase close to room too. Would recommend to a friend and was very good for the price. The staff were friendly and could speak good English too which helped, great location central to a good Metro line.

Cute little Parisian stay
It’s a cute, small hotel in a great area. It’s a little far from the center of most touristy places, but that made it so much better for me. There are so many cafes and bars around, I felt like I got a real glimpse at the lives of Parisians. The service was absolutely marvelous. The night-time receptionist was so nice and welcoming and very helpful. He’s the best! The room was small but had all the necessities. Warning, there are stairs, which can be a little exhausting after a day of walking around Paris, but I didn’t really mind. I would stay here again, for sure! The only issue was access to public transportation, but that is not up to the hotel. Paris has been on strike for over a month and the station close to the hotel was closed a lot. Again, that’s not the hotel’s fault, and when things go back to normal it will be really accessible for guests to go to the downtown area.

This is a very conveniently located hotel, just minutes from the Gare du Nord and from a metro station. The hotel staff are welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was good. The room was adequately appointed, although it lacked any tea/coffee-making facilities.

It had the old French charm and near the metro. Place needs to be renovated especially the dingy carpets and the shower room with no glass encasement nor curtain to stop the water from spilling over the floor. Staff were friendly and nice.

Nice hotel staff
The hotel staff where very nice. The room we had was newly decorated. The only thing that lets it down was no air con. It get warm in Paris and a fan is not good enough really. I would recommend this hotel still and the location is good.

Hotel is a house of horrors lol. I’m not sure how to describe it. The room was small and smelly, the shower didn’t have a door so all the water spilled over to the floor, the elevator was tiny and so old that not even a petite person can fit, staff was unprofessional. Don’t stay here!

Hello, I'm sorry you did not like your stay with us! could I ask you what room you stayed in? The owner does not want shower curtains up in the bathroom for hygenical reasons, I am sorry for the Incenvenience of the water. The building is from 1800 so of course there was no elevator before and that is the only space they found to have at least one tiny one than none ;) I'm waiting for your answer and wish you a pleasant day

My stay here was marked by the excellent service. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and extremely helpful. Accommodation itself was compact (standard for that level hotel) however was clean and was safe and accessible by walking to downtown Paris.

My wife and I (from Auckland, New Zealand) really enjoyed our stay at the Residence du Pre. We were on level 6 - the nights were hot, we had a fan - had the windows open and it was great (France had a heat wave at the time we were there). The lift was something special and the breakfast was excellent. We arrived at the Gar du Nord and had a 10 minute walk to the hotel which is in a really good location. Down the end of the street were 2 local corner pubs which were GREAT. We recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again.
