"This place is very rural. Katherine is a very nice host.The unit itself is about 10 ft by 20ft. The inside table for dining is in the photo with a glass top. There are two stools, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a Queen-sized bed on a platform. The mattress was very comfortable. It might be a bit challenging for older guests to get on the bed. "Exceptional vacation rental! Our return to the Pahoa area to renew our wedding vows was made a memory we will never forget, in part due to the extraordinary details Jennifer and Jeff put into the rental. There was not one detail that was not addressed. If you need it while staying there, they’ve thought of it and made sure it’s clean and ready for your use. The grounds are so beautiful, you enjoy nature and privacy in a setting that would be hard to replicate elsewhere. Need extra towels or chairs for your beach visit-checkWant to try snorkeling- check Want to learn to play the ukele- checkRelax on the lanai to watch the rain - they left blankets for cuddling and candles for ambianceMy husband’s review: it was awesome, wish we’d stayed there longer.Not sure how future rentals will surpass theirs. "A cool place to stay somewhat near Volcano. Totally off-grid, which was a surprise, but it worked out well. Glen is an enthusiastic, caring host who was happy to show us all he's done with the property, which was amazing. The outdoor toilet and solar shower are unique and very enjoyable. We'd stay there again!"

"My family and I were looking for a place to spend the night between Hilo and Volcano National Park. We loved the unique setting this home offered. There was plenty of space for everyone and Jenny was very easy to communicate with. We loved the viewing loft with a telescope but unfortunately it was a very rainy stay and we weren't able to star-gaze.If you're looking for a home feel off the main tourist areas we highly recommend reaching out to Jenny."

"This rental is ,by far, the best well equipped rental that we have ever rented in the last 30 years. There is nothing that we did not have or want. The location is top notch and beautiful. Huge grounds with plenty of fruit and coconut trees. Flowers are abundant, and the setting is gorgeous .The inside is equipped with two tv's and video player along with cd movies. The beds are absolutely comfortable, especially for one with multiple back surgeries.The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glass ware and utensils. Cupboards and drawers contain everything from soup to nuts including super glue and bug spray. The outside garage storage is where you will find beach accessories, snorkeling equipment and more.On the front porch are a couple of hammocks, chairs, tables and a gas BBQ. Off one of the bedrooms is another covered porch with chairs and table.This is also the resting place of Mango, the cat. What a character she is. very loving, independent and smart. Not quite sure where she normally lives but there is a good supply of food for her at the house in the back garage/covered area.There is also , in that area, a washer and dryer. Both work great.The house is absolutely clean and there are plenty of towels, etc.House is easy to find if you remember: From Hilo to hwy 11 S. Turn East on 130. Go about 1/2 mi past 13 mile marker and turn left into Leilani Estates. The road the place is on is about a mile East down Leilani ave, on the right. Then two houses down on right."

"Jeff was a kind host, The land was absolutely Beautiful, fully equipped kitchen, nice rooms though Eye stayed in the tent which Eye enjoyed. It gets pretty hot and there during the day and very cool at night. Less than a minute drive from my favorite clothing optional beach. Eye really enjoyed my stay. The hot tub was nice, the bath tub was lovely and the outside showers. The only issue Eye saw was that the inside shower curtain had quite a bit of mold on it but besides that everything was great. One of my favorite stays ever. They also had the sweetest cat ili’ili. The photos of the place do not do it justice."
